Just heard approx. 20,000 people inside the WTC at the time of the first attack. 69 passaners and crew on AA flight 11. Canada has shut down all airpors, except to accept overseas flights that were bound or the US.

Brothers and Sisters, I ask you to please pray for my husband Matt. As well as a follow church memeber of ours Chuck. They are both in the military. Chuck is in the Gulf right now. Matt is on a nuke air craft carrier the USS John C. Stennis. Right now Matt is out to sea, supposed to be back in tomorrow. I don't know if they'll bring the ship in now. Pray that God keep his hand with them. Pray for our country. We don't know if this is over yet. Lord, protect our Nation. Amen.

I don't know what that is? We just got a little 9" t.v. hooked up, here at work so I am trying to stay up to date. Keep me informed. Thanks, Kenneth

I have been trying to get info, but with our
hookup, which is extremly poor, its difficult
to laern anything new. I did find a radio station that is airing Peter Jennings reporting. He just stated that United Flight 175 had been reported as crashing, but he did'nt have a location. Also they reported that some 200 firefighters in N.Y. were "unaccounted" for in the area of the WTC

Thanks folks for your concerns and prayers for us here in the heart of the Big Apple! At my work we are pretty busy. We are about 7 miles from the site, so we are not affected. But most of the phones are out of order. People are trying to reach their loved ones to no avail. The City has an eerie calm. People by the thousands are walking on the streets, getting home the best way they can - by walking. I don't know if the Subways are working because everybody walks on the street. Very few cars are visible. I believe the tunnels and bridges are closed down and open only for emergency vehicles. We have to substitute for employees who are living outside because they have no means of getting in.

My wife and I were watching the initial fire and smoke on the two buildings and then witnessed as they were collapsing on themselves one by one. You have to realize folks that there are at least 34,000 workforces going in to those buildings every day. Many of them were already at work. I know a person who works there, and his wife cannot get in touch with him. We pray that he is alive and could get out when the authorities were evacuating the buildings (including the surrounding buildings).

We have to pray people. Satan is not sleeping. He wants to bring down America any way he can. The Lord must be near. Even so come Lord Jesus!

Brothers & Sisters, Let us stand, fully armed and covered in the strength of the Lord! This attack against our nation is no surprise to our Sovereign Lord. This horrible tragedy is a divine opportunity for the Church to intercede powerfully in prayer & outreach. Let us pray with all prayer and supplication for the salvation of souls...that this awful situation will be used of the Spirit to turn the hearts of many to our God.
Let us be ready to assist in whatever way we can: pray with & comfort those who have sustained loss of loved ones, share Christ with the confused & hurting, provide shelter, clothing, blankets, food & BIBLES to those who are without at this time.
Let us get our eyes off ourselves & focus wholly on JESUS--our Commander in Chief, our King of righteousness who has battle orders for us to march & stand at this appointed hour!
Be of good courage, dear brothers & sisters. Our God reigns, and He will use each of us to the glory of His name, for the furtherance of His kingdom during this time of national grief.
Let's put on our armor & be ready.
Our God reigns!!

People, we need to pray, everyone of us that God protects us. And forgives this nation for the horrible things that we've allowed to happen here. Wow, I haven't been this scared in years. I have to keep reminding myself of the words.." Have no fear, oh ye of little faith." And yet again I am reminded of my favorite verses in the bible. Romans 8:38-39

As a military member, I have enough problems on my hands at the moment without s t u p i dity adding to it....

If you see this, ABC reported that all mass transit had been closed. with the exception
of Grand Central, with limited acess.

I'm also in Midtown Manhattan right now about 2-3 miles from the WTC in a 60 story office building.
