Palestinian and Osama bin Laden groups have denied responsibility.

What would bother me the most, almost more than anything else, is if some McVeigh-types were behind this....

And the only thing I can think of that would possibly be worse than that...is if some Army of God-types were behind it....

    Hi,

I live in Massachusetts and this has hit very close to home. I am overwhelmed with the grace and love that the Lord extends to His children. How He protects us and for those who have lost their lives that His timing is perfect.

My husband is going on business trip this week and was going to be flying from Boston to California either today or tomorrow morning and he talked his company into letting him fly from Manchester, NH and this was done sometime last week and his flight is suppose to be scheduled for tomorrow (maybe). Now I thank the Lord for His protection on my family.

The pilot from the first plane is from Dracut, MA 52 years old with a wife and three children.

There is all kinds of action going on here in Mass we are the next state over from NY and the action is from the National guard to the medical personel and hospitals to simple things like closing of baseball games and state buildings.

Such tragedy...sounds like a sign of the end times...wars and rumors of wars.

Aren't you all glad that you know and are sure that when you die you will go to be with your heavenly Father.

Vengence is of the Lord and He is in control. The thing that baffles me the most is that there were rumors of hijacking these planes. That people would take their own lives to cause such tragedy and the Lord is in control because they now will spend eternity in a burning hell.

    How sad.

Please pray for many families to find their loved ones and for those who have their loved ones.

May the Lord richly bless you all.

    Cyndi

Yeah, that would be worse. Because those people also think they are following the Bible, and they don't even claim it is tampered. That, like Oklahoma City would shows us the danger of this right-left war, with the resentment of the govt. for supposedly "turning its back on God", "persecuting religion", "wasting our tax money", "taking guns away from citizens" etc.
The Mideast terrorists the ones who were really after the WTC. (remember 8½ years ago). The US militias are after govt. mainly, not finance, (being they support capitalism, which they defend from the supposedly socialized govt.)
I'm sure whoever did it is mighty proud of themselves.

The Revelation of Jesus Christ to John: "Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city (Babylon), that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come. For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off, and they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas, that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate."

Thought of these verses as shots from a ferry transporting walking wounded pulled away from the rubble where the greatest office building once stood. Know this is not the interpretation of that passage, but the application, from the ship's perspective, was stunning.

Dr Bob, this just in from my husband on the ship. "All ships at sea stay at sea, all ships in port go to sea." Pray.

    Greetings,

This is where we insert, "It's the true millenium!" "The anti-christ is coming! The anti-christ is coming!"

It seems logical to me to assume that some Palestinian/Arab power had some role in this. The US will likely bomb them back, bonding all the Arab states together, and then China will ally itself with them in attacking Israel (an evil US ally). Seriously, China may just be the country from the north, and we may very well be on the very of WWIII (ie. the beginning of the tribulation). Another interesting speculative thought: the TWO towers have fallen. I wouldn't be surprised in they were rebuilt in a couple years.... Just like the two witnesses that get killed in Revelation. Scientists have recently complain about not being ready for a space asteriod impact, so could that not be "wormwood"?

I know it's all speculation, but if it is true, then "Thy kingdom come" God. Thy kingdom come.

    Speculatively,
    Mark Tompsett

Another building has fallen in NYC. They believe that it is WTC tower #7. It used to stand right behind what was tower #2.

All I can say is that since I first learned of this horrific event, I have felt physically sick to my stomach! I have cried tears of fear, I have been on my knees constantly praying!

When I first heard this, I walked outside and I gotta say, I looked up to the sky and fully expected the blue sky to be pulled aside like a curtain and to hear that trumpet and see my Lord Jesus beckon me to come!

Without a doubt, I am thankful to God that BJ Halo and webmaster escaped this tradegy with their lives! I will pray for you, your families, your churches and your communities!

    Love in Christ,
    Kathy

I must say that I think we need to get ready. I think we'll be called home very soon. Tell all that will listen of Christs love and his salvation.

    Hello everyone.

livin'intheword: that was a true word spoken. I am a Christian who has been lukewarm and today has had me repenentant before God, seeking His forgiveness. The unthinkable CAN happen. Even if this isn't a fulfilment of Biblical prophecy, I am reminded that I cannot take it for granted that I may reach work safely or return home safely. This goes without saying we need to get the gospel spread as far as we can, to whoever we can.

I am angered by how some people have taken to CELEBRATING such a heinous act, MURDER. No nation is perfect, but I couldn't imagine laughing at a tragedy, an outrage as this.

Last but by no means least, my heart truly goes out to those who are injured and the families of those who were killed. I cannot imagine the devastation and loss they must be feeling, the uncertainty of the whereabouts of their loved ones.

    May the LORD have mercy.

Remember we will not know the time or hour when Christ will come. In fact it says that it will be the least likely of times.

True, thanks for reminding me of the Word. It's hard to stay focused but that's what we should do. I'm glued to the TV for further developments, its almost unreal.

Furthermore we need to pray for the families of the missing police officers and firefighters.

I still can't get my head around this. May all those concerned find comfort in the Lord Jesus Christ.

    Mark 13:1 ...
And as He went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto Him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!
    2. And Jesus answering said unto him, "Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another that shall not be thrown down."
    3. And as He sat upon the Mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately,
    4. "Tell us", when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?"
    5. And Jesus answering them began to say, "Take heed lest any man deceive you;
    6. For many shall come in My name, saying, "I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
    7. And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled; for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet.

    Praise be to the Father.

Someone here said they were affraid and didn't know what to do.
What we do is pray, trust God, and know that all things are in His hands.

The scariest thing I think is that it might have been an american, like McVeigh. Terrorism from within. Thats scary.

I think God would have us praying for eveyone invovled, the families of the dead, the rescuers, to do God's will, we must also pray for those who did this. And are commanded by God to forgive. Although thats going to be very difficult. Unforgiveness only destroys the one not forgiving, not the one not being forgiven.
It will take time for our nation to heal, but it will, let us christians be about our FAthers business.
    ;) ;)

Baptist Board Family, I know we are all shocked and devastated by what happened today. I think we all agree on one thing, that we need to pray.

We also need to control our "state of panic" and beware of posting things that have not been substanciated as fact, and the many Scriptures that have been taken out of context. This is not biblical prophecy unfolding! God is in complete control here. The Lord Jesus could very well indeed return soon, but there are no biblical prophecies foretelling of what happened today.

Indeed we should take this opportunity to witness for Christ and to pray for our backslidden nation, but let's not throw each other into a state of doomsday panic. It will not do us any good. For the Christian, it is God's business as usual! ;)

That's all for now folks- and be discerning! ;) Love you all, JOY

What a day! We're been home for some time now and watched FoxNews to get all the details.

Thanks for your prayers and let's pray that it's all over now.

The text of President Bush's address Tuesday night, after terrorist attacks on New York and Washington:

    Good evening.

Today, our fellow citizens, our way of life, our very freedom came under attack in a series of deliberate and deadly terrorist acts.

The victims were in airplanes or in their offices -- secretaries, businessmen and women, military and federal workers. Moms and dads. Friends and neighbors.

Thousands of lives were suddenly ended by evil, despicable acts of terror.

The pictures of airplanes flying into buildings, fires burning, huge structures collapsing, have filled us with disbelief, terrible sadness and a quiet, unyielding anger.

These acts of mass murder were intended to frighten our nation into chaos and retreat. But they have failed. Our country is strong. A great people has been moved to defend a great nation.

Terrorist attacks can shake the foundations of our biggest buildings, but they cannot touch the foundation of America. These acts shatter steel, but they cannot dent the steel of American resolve.

America was targeted for attack because we're the brightest beacon for freedom and opportunity in the world. And no one will keep that light from shining.

Today, our nation saw evil, the very worst of human nature, and we responded with the best of America, with the daring of our rescue workers, with the caring for strangers and neighbors who came to give blood and help in any way they could.

Immediately following the first attack, I implemented our government's emergency response plans. Our military is powerful, and it's prepared. Our emergency teams are working in New York City and Washington, D.C., to help with local rescue efforts.

Our first priority is to get help to those who have been injured and to take every precaution to protect our citizens at home and around the world from further attacks.

The functions of our government continue without interruption. Federal agencies in Washington which had to be evacuated today are reopening for essential personnel tonight and will be open for business tomorrow.

Our financial institutions remain strong, and the American economy will be open for business as well.

The search is underway for those who are behind these evil acts. I've directed the full resources for our intelligence and law enforcement communities to find those responsible and bring them to justice. We will make no distinction between the terrorists who committed these acts and those who harbor them.

I appreciate so very much the members of Congress who have joined me in strongly condemning these attacks. And on behalf of the American people, I thank the many world leaders who have called to offer their condolences and assistance.

America and our friends and allies join with all those who want peace and security in the world and we stand together to win the war against terrorism.

Tonight I ask for your prayers for all those who grieve, for the children whose worlds have been shattered, for all whose sense of safety and security has been threatened. And I pray they will be comforted by a power greater than any of us spoken through the ages in Psalm 23: "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me."

This is a day when all Americans from every walk of life unite in our resolve for justice and peace. America has stood down enemies before, and we will do so this time.

None of us will ever forget this day, yet we go forward to defend freedom and all that is good and just in our world.

Thank you. Good night and God bless America.
