MeWho said anything about him?
Via the curse resulting from Adam's transgression.
Who said we didn't? I've said just that on numerous occasions.Again, how did we get the curse without the sin of Adam?

Again, a goldfish and antelopes, whales, lions and tigers and bears, oh my..., ostriches, minks, seals, otters, flies, mosquitoes, squirrells, moles, sharks, octopi, were not made imago dei, only Adam was. Major difference. There's no way plausible for a goldfish...or any of the others I mentioned... to "take hold of the Tree of Life and live". Only Adam did, and once he sinned, God thrust him out of there....
RIGHT!!!!! :thumbsup::thumbsup::wavey:
But they STILL suffer from the "CURSE" don't they????
Well, don't they????
You seem to be arguing that the curse has no power unless guilt is also imparted...
Why do you say that?
What's your argument?
Obviously....
The "Curse" can exist even without the transfer of guilt.
You DON'T have to be made in the image of God to suffer the curse...
you Don't have to be human to suffer from what Adam did.......
you can....
in fact....
simply be a goldfish....
That's the point.
That's it.
If babies die sinless, you have people going to heaven without the blood of Christ....
Your Theology has sinners going to heaven without the blood of Christ.....
My Theology has innocents going to heaven without the blood of Christ.
I leave it with you to decide.

And yet Romans 5:12-14 says that people died because of Adam when there was no Law and, therefore, sin was not counted...
If Adam's sin isn't "passed" to his progeny, Christ's righteousness isn't passed to His people.

Whats the context of Rom 5:12-14 ?
--Why are people unsaved?
They love darkness better than light.
--Why do they love darkness better than light?
Because they choose to.
--Why do they choose to love darkness better than light?

What say ye?
I believe I know the answer, but I am not setting you up to tear you down, if you disagree with me. :saint:
The scripture say's, because their deeds were evil.
I believe it goes right back to because "men loved darkness".
But let's not forget the rest of the passage. Yes, men loved darkness and hated the light, but it also says those who doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be manifest, that they are wrought in God.
The passage distinguishes between those who have chosen to hate and those who have chosen to love. It doesn't say they all chosen to hate as Calvinist would like it to read.
Good stuff!:jesus:
Now, let's go back to the OP....
--Does God open sinners' heart or do they choose to allow Him to?
--Does God open sinners' blinded eyes or do they choose to allow Him to?
--Does God open sinners' ears or do they choose to allow Him to?
That is why regeneration prior to conversion is essential, imo. We had no choice when God started the work in opening our eyes to see our truly sinful state, our ears to hear what the word of God was truly saying to us, and our hearts to receive the engrafted word, which is able to save our souls.
James 1:21 wherefore having put aside all filthiness and superabundance of evil, in meekness be receiving the engrafted word, that is able to save your souls;
Phpps 2:13 for God it is who is working in you both to will and to work for His good pleasure.
John 6:29Jesus answered and said to them, `This is the work of God, that ye may believe in him whom He did send.'
