I'm not sure. We were always trained to shoot center mass, but when I go to the pistol range I usually go for head shots (.........on targets).

depends on how much training a person has - if they get too nervous - they could easily miss.

This is what gets me about these TV shows where a character gets a sidearm - but there is never any training involved and
then something drastic happens.

True. Or maybe she hid behind a door and when he walked through, she put the gun against his head and pulled the trigger.
