...imo, considering the urgency of the situation the head shot was luck, training is always aim for center mass....

"...WSAV reported that the woman had taken training for a concealed carry license, a fact which Sheriff Clark seized on when speaking to reporters: “If there is no other thing that we pull out of this today, I want to hammer that home of how this lady saved her life because she took half a day out of her life and went and got training. She saved her life and stopped the bad guy.”..."

Interesting that she was confident enough to take the head shot. I wonder if she came up from behind him. He got what he deserved...

She might have only been 4-5 ft away. Hard to miss from that distance.

I'm not sure. We were always trained to shoot center mass, but when I go to the pistol range I usually go for head shots (....:Unsure.....on targets).

depends on how much training a person has - if they get too nervous - they could easily miss.

This is what gets me about these TV shows where a character gets a sidearm - but there is never any training involved and
then something drastic happens.

True. Or maybe she hid behind a door and when he walked through, she put the gun against his head and pulled the trigger.

But we're just guessing. All we know for sure is he died of a single shot to the head.

Well done, Lady.
