The generation being spoken of here was not the one of that time, but the one here when all those things come to pass@

It's annoying isn't it, that these Christians can see double or partial fulfillment in other parts of the bible but cant allow for that same idea to play here in this specific Olivet discourse prophecy. Especially since Matthew 24:20 shows that this whole discourse is Jewish, not Christian.
Is anyone praying that their escape from Jerusalem doesn't happen in the winter or on a sabbath? Jesus was speaking of seventh day Adventists I guess?

Sure let's trail off on something else here. Jesus' audience is Jewish as per Matthew 24:20, but He says that elect Saints in the tribulation might not be saved. He doesn't state whether these elect are Jewish or not. While addressing a Jewish audience, Jesus can talk about what will happen to gentiles. There, happy?

Your contention doesn't disprove my point and it was a waste of time and you could have done that thinking yourself.

To the Jews he spoke to....there was great tribulation, the Holy place was left desolate....the Romans were killing them....those who obeyed Jesus.fled...
Jesus said that there were some listening to Him 5hat would experience the judgment....

Now the real reason you cannot take on any other view is you learn mostly second hand...that is why you can only "tweet" one sentence empty replies.
I am not even that strong on eschatology....yet you struggle with what I post.... I am in between positions....If JOJ has it correct, fine. If T.Cassidy has it, fine, if Ken Gentry has it...that is okay with me.
As long as a Person knows Jesus holds the future that we are heading into...any calendar works for me.
That being said it is an important topic that should motivate us to serve...in the Kingdom....which has begun

Kyredneck has forgotten more scripture than you have used on here.
The only thing resembling a clown are your posts which avoid what was offered....could be we have another cyber-rambo.....big on the keyboard, small on content .
Try and actually address the OP. and we will all be impressed.

Don't quit your day job there boss

How about we try this instead: the burden of proof lays on you to prove that I veered from the op. Hey wait a minute, we have your first post, post #9, in this thread completely off topic and then I come in and save the day with my post and actually answer evangelists op question. Cheers boss

So much we do not know about the end times. I've read/ heard many wonderful preachers and theologians sincerely seeking to be wise discerners of scripture come to different conclusions.

I have an amillennialist view as I see that as the most likely in scripture. I know many have different views.

The big thing is that the return of Christ WILL happen, and it will happen in God's time and God's way. And that will be the right interpretation!

Unless I've missed it, no one on this thread thus far has been able or willing to answer my question. With the Post-mil view, what time period is generally considered to be the time Satan was bound and when was/is he to be loosed?

Te Great tribulation will be gretaer than ANY before in history, that all life would be threatened, and all of the elect, and that was NOT AD 70, as 99% of the world did not even know that it was happening at that time!

Bound at the cross....loosed right before the last day

    14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

the biblical concept of binding up satan though seems to be that he longer longer is allowed to be active on earth, and he seems to be alive and well right now here!

    Jope,

My day job is confronting clownlike posts like your attack on KYred..

    .

The O.P.was not about KYRED....so there you have it:Cautious

I responded to the point of the other off topic poster...so try again
    yes...you offered a weak link by Chafer....ok...that's a start.
    Jope,

    .
When you fragment your bible as you do here, it is no wonder you cannot discover the truth.

We did exist in the mind and Covenant plan of God before the world was. I do not want to confuse you with the facts however.

All of Gods covenants are fulfilled perfectly with the Elect servant of the Lord.....Isa42-54....You just have not discovered how as of yet....probably looking for the red heifer, or the 10 nation confederacy, so that keeps you from learning about the Servant's work.

Double standard much? The OP is not about Jope, so there you have it :Cautious

Where and when do you suggest I address yours and his copy paste nonsense then?

Ya I'm not going to play "he started it" nonsense lol. I don't care. I do think you ought to think your criticisms a little more thoroughly over before you make them though.

Um nope. I know your theology makes you spiritualize normal reality into nothingness but try reading post 7.

Same thing can be said about your erroneous theological views. Try posting something worthwhile, well thought through and impervious to contra.

When God made covenants to the Jews, he didn't make them with Gentiles. Easy as that. Now when we come to Galatians and other nt doctrine, we find Paul upset that Peter tries to make gentiles live like Jews. Is that what you're doing?

Again, nothing but prejudiced garbage: I can say the same thing to you. And yes, our view teaches that the covenants are fulfilled in the Lord. You have not discovered how as of yet.

I did, but as I have asked for his biblical support for his idea...he will be gone as if the rapture took place....
