Ephesians 1:11
"... Predestined according to the Purpose of Him Who Works all things
according to the Counsel of His Will ..."

You have said that without any kind of real evidence except fluffy Calvinist opinion...

It doesn't change any biblical doctrines which is likely one reason I have not fallen into Calvin-Augustinian gnostic fatalism.

"...It is not surprising that even professing Christians are unaware of the Doctrine of Divine Predestination.

"Many preachers deny that Divine Predestination is in God’s Word. (Their denial speaks of their lack of Biblical knowledge and/or personal integrity.)

"Many preachers, while admitting that Divine Predestination is in God’s Word, do not preach it because they do not understand or believe it.

"Many preachers deny the Biblical Doctrine of Divine Predestination because they know it is contrary to their own Doctrine of man’s “freewill”.

"Many preachers deliberately misrepresent Divine Predestination as heathenish fatalism and determinism.

But faithful Christians praise God for Divine Predestination.

I. We praise the Father for Predestining us to be His children,
and therefore Choosing us unto Salvation in Christ before the Foundation of the World
(Ephesians 1:3-7):
“... the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ ... Chose us in Him before the Foundation of the World,
that we should be Holy and without blame before Him in Love, having Predestined us to Adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself,
according to the Good Pleasure of His Will, to the Praise of the Glory of His Grace, by which He Made us Accepted in the Beloved.
In Him we have Redemption through His Blood, the Forgiveness of sins, according to the Riches of His Grace.”

II. We praise God for Predestining our Eternal Inheritance in Christ (Ephesians 1:11):
“In Him also we have obtained an Inheritance, being Predestined according to the Purpose of Him
Who Works all things according to the Counsel of His Will
.”

III. We praise God for Predestining us to be Conformed to Christ, Whom we desire to be like (Romans 8:29):
“For whom He Foreknew, He also Predestined to be Conformed to the Image of His Son, that He might be the Firstborn among many brethren.”

IV. We praise God that through His Predestination
“all things Work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the Called according to His Purpose”
(Romans 8:28-31):
“... For whom He Foreknew, He also Predestined to be Conformed to the Image of His Son, that He might be the Firstborn among many brethren.
Moreover whom He Predestined, these He also Called; whom He Called, these He also Justified; and whom He Justified, these He also Glorified.
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”

V. We praise God for Predestining every event (Ecclesiastes 3:1-15):
“To everything there is a season, a time for every Purpose under Heaven .... That which is has already been, and what is to be has already been ....”
For example, Jesus Christ was born at the Predestined moment for the Predestined Purpose which He Fulfilled as Predestined (Galatians 4:4f).

VI. We praise God for Predestining even the wickedness of evil men to redound to His Glory and our Salvation (Acts 4:27-28):
“For truly against Your Holy Servant Jesus, whom You Anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel,
were gathered together to do whatever Your Hand and Your Purpose Determined before to be done.”

As God Predestined, wicked men shed the Blood that Redeemed, Saved, Justified, and Sanctified God’s Predestined people as God Predestined.

VII. We praise God for Predestining that His Wisdom be Revealed to us, for otherwise we would be ignorant of Him (1 Corinthians 2:7ff):
“But we speak the Wisdom of God in a Mystery, the Hidden Wisdom which God Ordained before the Ages for our Glory,
which none of the rulers of this Age knew; for had they known, they would not have Crucified the Lord of Glory.”

VIII. And we praise God that we believe His Gospel and Trust in Christ because He Predestined us to do so (Acts 13:44-48):
“... And as many as had been Appointed to Eternal Life believed.”

Thank you for another fluffy Calvinist misinterpretation of Scripture. I will now add the name of Daniel E. Parks to the list of Calvinists who misinterpret the usage of the terms elect and predestined and foreknow in Scripture.

Where in all of this Scripture do you see the individual predestined or picked for salvation before the foundation of the world?

"Many preachers deliberately misrepresent Divine Predestination as heathenish fatalism and determinism.
It is not deliberate misrepresentation. This is a deliberate misrepresentation of the truth.
Calvin and Augustine’s roots in Gnosticism are traceable and it is an accurate representation of their own teachings. I don’t deny everything that they say. They did sometimes quote Scripture.

You have to put some effort in. Its pretty much self explanatory, It started with Election Eph 1:4 b4 the foundation and goes to Vs 13 when the elect person receives the Gospel knowledge of their salvation and they believe and are sealed.

All I asked was for you to show me where in the Scripture do you see the individual predestined or picked for salvation before the foundation of the world.

It shouldn't be that difficult if you can plainly see it!

Just show me the precise verse where it says that and explain how you see it.

You might as well ask BF and a few others on here if they can nail jello to a wall, they can't do that and they can not show you a clear verse that supports they C/R view.

I showed you. Eph 1:4ff Now because I see it doesnt mean you can see it. Just start reading from Vs 3 or 4 and follow the logical contextual sequence as Paul renumerates their spiritual blessings all the way to when they believed. Though he is writing to a group its comprised of individual believers. All of them didnt believe at the same time, but as individuals Everything started Paul writes in election

I'm having problems finding where it says they were predestined to salvation before the foundation of the world.

Show it to me.

What a wonderful post. He must have read some of the posts on here of those who speak against God's eternal purpose.
God is in complete control. God's people rejoice in this truth...others turn away from the light. Thanks for posting this helpful list of answers.

It didn’t explain anything in question. It is only one more restatement of the position without a clear proof.
But you can praise it if you like. It accomplished nothing.

Point it out and explain it, I don't understand.
Lol, why? What’s the use? It’s been explained to you all many times, and it’s proven to be a useless endeavor, not because you can’t understand it, you refuse to.

All I asked was for you to show me where in the Scripture do you see the individual predestined or picked for salvation before the foundation of the world.

Again, it’s been pointed out to you many times.

29 For whom he foreknew, he also foreordained to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren:
30 and whom he foreordained, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. Ro 8

15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.
16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of himthat runneth, but of God that hath mercy.
18 So then he hath mercy on whom he will, and whom he will be hardeneth.
19 Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he still find fault? For who withstandeth his will?
20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why didst thou make me thus? Ro 9

That says they were predestined to be conformed into the image of Christ.

It doesn't say they were predestined to be saved. You're assuming that's what it says.

Being predestined to be conformed into the image of Christ is done through God's plan of redemption.

Do you think maybe that's what we are predestined to?

I think those INDIVIDUALS that are “conformed to the image of Christ” are definitely ‘saved’.

But what does the verse say they were predestined to?

In the "free will" world, "whosoever will call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

And they were predestined before the foundation of the world to be conformed into Christ through His redemption plan.

They were predestined to His plan of redemption, not who would be saved or not saved.
