If water baptism could save people, then what was the purpose of Jesus going to the cross?

It would be foolish for one to give his life in order to save people when that one could have saved people by baptizing them with water.

The fact is, water baptism no more saves than kissing a whale keeps it from being beached. And those who are relying on their water baptism to allow them entrance into God's eternal kingdom are only fooling themselves.

Its the grace given at baptism which saves and you don't generally get that unless you are baptized. Baptism is the Christian response to recieving faith it is our mark of membership in the kingdom of God like Circumcision was the mark of someone being Jewish.
Also Salvation incluedes more than just justification. So as I've said you are saved at faith, you are saved at baptism, you are being saved as you are sanctified and you will be saved at judgement.

grace comes to ANy who receive jesus as messiah by faith!

the Holy spirit seals us at that moment, unto God and into the Church....

bible states that we have eternal life RIGHT NOW, and that we HAVE passed from death to life here and now!

The mark of the Christian is the seal of the Spirit....

Why does Rome pervert the meanings of everything biblical that it quotes and uses?

Yes and those who have faith want to be baptized which includes grace.

the Holy spirit seals us at that moment, unto God and into the Church....
Look again at Peter 1) repent 2) be baptized and 3) you will recieve the Holy Spirit
“Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

bible states that we have eternal life RIGHT NOW, and that we HAVE passed from death to life here and now!
and if you obey Christ and remain in him that will continue to be so. But if you do not you don't have life in you.

The mark of the Christian is the seal of the Spirit....
Which comes through baptism

No perversion that is what the scriptures have always meant.

Uzziah was killed for touching the ark.
You prove my point, not make it.
Anyone who dared to touch it, abuse it, bow down before it, etc. was judged severely. What a terrible example you use to defend your position that the Israelites bowed down before these images. Is this deception you MO?

Yes and those who have faith want to be baptized which includes grace.
Which in the RCC includes infants of course. But we know that no infant is capable of having faith. This is a glaring contradiction that the RCC has to overlook. Baptism contains nothing but two atoms of hydrogen and one atom of oxygen combined together. There is no grace in that except for the grace that keeps it together as a liquid to put out the hydrogen that would explode in the oxygen if lit.
Look again at Peter 1) repent 2) be baptized and 3) you will recieve the Holy Spirit
That is not what it teaches.

You are adding to the Word just quoted to you and making a mockery of the Scriptures in so doing! Again here is what was quoted:

bible states that we have eternal life RIGHT NOW, and that we HAVE passed from death to life here and now!
There is no "if."
Which comes through baptism
That is not what you find in Eph.4:30,31. Baptism is not mentioned where the sealing of the Spirit is mentioned. Again you pervert the Word of God.
No perversion that is what the scriptures have always meant.
Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Obviously you have a perversion of the Scripture here. How can you deny it. There is nothing in this entire chapter that speaks of baptism. You pervert the Word of God. You have twisted almost every passage that was presented to you. You should be ashamed.

Well, I ain't in the least "catholic" on this one. :) I believe in the Anabaptist/Baptist view of baptism.

think the RCC favorite verse on this would be 'he who perserveres until the End..."

The bigger problem for them is that 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17 and 1 Corinthians 15:51-57 which describe only the resurrection of the righteous demand that glorification of the Christian occurs at the resurrection while Christ is still "in the clouds" before He descends to earth and thus long before the Christian stands before Christ in judgment.

Thus, the Christian stands SINLESS already fitted for heaven before he stands before the Lord to be judged according to his "works." This proves that their "works" have nothing to do with determining entrance into heaven or hell but only rewards for in heaven(1 Cor. 3:11-15) as they are already GLORIFIED in body made ready to enter heaven.

Why do the majority of Christians believe its not just bread
Catholics, orthodox, oriental orthodoxy, Lutheran, Anglican, Methodist and baptist don't if you take genisis literally you should take this passage literally

John 6:53
King James Version (KJV)
53*Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.

Take the verse literally? Are you serious?

We have good reason not to take it literally...

Acts 15:20 (KJV) But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.

Acts 15:29 (KJV) That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.

but does the RCC have an answer to how can the so called true Church of god on earth teaches a diffewrent/another/false gospel, denying others to enter the Kingdom in order to get saved?

Well, obviously the Catholic Church believes it has proclaimed the true gospel message from the start of the Church. You continue to make the same claims, ask the same questions and ignore the answers you are given.
