It might be a type for Christian living but it was written as promise to Israel

I don't deny that... The OT points to the NT and the NT confirms the OT... There are types and shadows all through the Bible... Stand in the light of Christ and you can see them... Brother Glen:)

I know the setting and it still applies to us...

Some excerpts from Ezekiel 36:

"Therefore prophesy concerning the land of Israel"

"My people Israel"

"Oh House of Israel"

"Therefore, say to the House of Israel"

"These are the people of the Lord but they have gone out of His Land"

Yet you would have us believe this is applicable to all people.

Then you turn around and say that 2 Peter 3:9 is addressed to the church, not to everyone.

That is like saying that the ten commandment do not apply... That's OT too...

No it's not. It's not just that it's in the OT, it's that Israel is repeatedly and specifically addressed.

Who are Gods people?... Jew and Gentiles there is no distinction as scripture states...

Yes, now that Christ has come.

God changes the heart they are Israel... Spiritual Israel... The OT and NT are in complete harmony, even if you don't see it... Brother Glen:)

Twist scripture and force your theology onto it.

Jesus said we are condemned already.

We continue in that condemnation because we do not believe on the Son

And what happensto cause any who get saved to cease rejecting Him to save them, as that is our natural bent?
