Where are those sins now, where were they recorded? What happens to them after Jesus took them, as He did for my sin/s.
Well... according to the penal substitution theory of atonement, we did the crime and Jesus did the time. Doesn't change the fact that we were the ones who sinned. Where are our sins now? We still have them, we still do them. We still sin. However, we no longer carry the guilt of that sin. According to the theory, Jesus "washing away our sin" or "bearing the weight of our sin" or "being sin" implies that although he never sinned, he going to suffer on our behalf.
