Where are those sins now, where were they recorded? What happens to them after Jesus took them, as He did for my sin/s.

Well... according to the penal substitution theory of atonement, we did the crime and Jesus did the time. Doesn't change the fact that we were the ones who sinned. Where are our sins now? We still have them, we still do them. We still sin. However, we no longer carry the guilt of that sin. According to the theory, Jesus "washing away our sin" or "bearing the weight of our sin" or "being sin" implies that although he never sinned, he going to suffer on our behalf.

in Matthew 17 - before the cross even happened Moses and Elijah stand fully forgiven in the presence of the sinless Christ on the Mt of Transfiguration. That is because "God forgives" the sinner ... but He does so based on the work of Christ and counts those things that are not as though they are - applying the benefit of Christ's future work on the cross - to Moses and Elijah and to Enoch and to all those who called upon the name of the Lord in the OT.

He did suffer in our behalf - He became the "atoning sacrifice for OUR sins and NOT for our sins only but for the sins of the WHOLE WORLD" 1 John 2:2

What people miss is that God uses the "atonement model" for forgiveness and as Lev 16 points out - that includes the work of Christ BOTH as the sin offering "Lamb of God" and also as High Priest in the Most Holy Place of the Sanctuary in Heaven.

-- One Baptism asks where sins are "recorded". That is an important question on many levels.

So the thread title is a mis-nomer to say the least, and moreso, without actual documentational evidence from a scriptural perspective, is satanic defamation and libel upon sister Ellen G. White [now sleeping in the grave, awaiting the call of the special resurrection], a godly Christian mother in Israel, a faithful wife, and loving daughter of the Most High God, JEHOVAH Elohiym.

As a Seventh-day Adventist, I cannot assume what 'thatbrian' assumes, or what 'thatbrian' has as an apriori. Scripturally, I require evidence, actual documentation, line upon line and a thus saith the LORD and it is written.

Lev 23 says that Ellen White is right in that paragraph... you knew that right??
