Oh here we go! How about a car then? Personally, I like bake sales cause that’s where I got my best coffee cakes. But nobody it seems can bake anymore.

The clown show, gambling casino model has always been the Roman Catholic Church model for funding their initiatives …and what in reality are they raising money for… paying for court cases and legal representation to pay off the activities of pedofile clergy perhaps? Pardon me but most Baptists don’t concentrate on that nor do they fund Catholic Charities to embolden illegals to flood the US boarders. Bake sales and crafts fairs and contributions by members of the local churches are more than sufficient to cover the costs of church maintenance and missionary endeavors thank you.

@Revmitchell is right that Scripture does not prohibit gambling.
But church raffles (the ones I know of anyway) are not gambling. The "prize" is not something one would gamble to win (even the shotgun in my earlier example).
Now, if the "raffle" was buying a $2 ticket and the prize was substantial....say 50% if the cash collected....then it may be gambling.
