How much "support" do you think would be had if there were a "grass roots movement" among "Christians" which included 95 or so biblical reasons nailed, here, to the BB forum "door", not to "blend" the "celebration of the birth of Christ" and the fables of Santa Clause and trappings as is currently the case and known as "Christmas" here in the U.S.?

Moving the true "Birth of Jesus Celebration" to a week in a month more likely to have been the actual month of His birth, let's say the Ninth Month and say the 25th day of that month.

I have more important matters to attend too than worrying about Santa Clause. Get a life my friend.

None, you give to much credit for some things and are obsessed. Celebrate it how you want to and let it go.

You have a lot of words in quotation marks. I do that too, sometimes. (I have almost over killed on occasion.) :flower:

I have a question as to why you have Christians in quotation marks. Are you saying that people who celebrate the traditional holidays with acknowledging Christ AND having a Christmas tree with gifts have a spiritual problem?

No trying to put words in your mouth - just wanted some clarification on that.

By-the-by - Santa Claus does not have an "e" on the end of his name. That's the spelling from the movie, "The Santa Clause" implying the Santa contract.

If this is the way you speak with friends....

BTW, after searching your comments and post, I do see what your "more important matters" are and I wonder "really?". :tongue3:

I was "Christmas" shopping recently at the "Punctuation Store" and they had "double quotations" on sale BYGO, so I got a lot.

Actually it's because the meaning of so many words have different meanings that the true definition.

Only the ones that encourage parents to dress children up in pajamas and push hot chocolate on them while watching "The Polar Express".

"Christians" often those who are followers in word only. (Lip service...)

I will file you under the NO group. thanks for stopping by.

More of the same .... instead of honest debate, too many board members have resorted to looking up dirt on others (in the archives and personal info page) and using it to formulate and CAST judgment! What does judging another add to the topic of this OP?

I agree with everyone that was bold enough to say, let it alone, brother. If it works for you and yours, so be it. Nevertheless, not everyone is going to believe your doctrinal stands, so let them comment without a harsh, snide, innuendo suggesting some form of judgment!

Not sure if I totally agree.
Is this legalism to the extreme.
The Puritans refuse to celebrate Christmas - so why not practice all the legalism they adhered to.

Bottom line - where do you draw the line.
Then
Sit back and enjoy life!
