Regeneration

Another one is John The Baptist!

He’s regeneration took place in his mother’s womb.
We do not know that.
What we know is that upon Elizabeth hearing Mary's voice, she was filled with the Holy Spirit and John jumped and kicked in the womb.

It is a leap in thought to say John was regenerated while in the womb.

Is it really?!

Let’s go to Scripture:

Luke 1:15 KJV
[15] For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be ➡️filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb⬅️.

In order to be filled with the Holy Ghost one has to be born again.

Regeneration precedes faith so if a person believes it’s because regeneration has already taken place.

Cornelius is a prime example that faith and regeneration do not happen simultaneously.

Cornelius showed attributes of a child of God before Peter came with the Gospel message.

Cornelius had faith as a God-Fearer. He had not been born from above till he heard the Gospel

This does not equal regeneration. King Saul was also filled with the Holy Spirit. Do you consider him to be regenerated?

Now, since I believe God has chosen his elect from before the foundation of the world, I have no problem with God having chosen John the Baptist before conception. I think you jump to a conclusion of regeneration in the womb that is not specifically stated.

Luke 1:12-17 And Zechariah was troubled when he saw him, and fear fell upon him. But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zechariah, for your prayer has been heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth, for he will be great before the Lord. And he must not drink wine or strong drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother’s womb. And he will turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God, and he will go before him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready for the Lord a people prepared."

Cornelius had faith as a God-Fearer. By your definition, everyone who still shows traces of being made in the image of God is regenerate.

The lost world doesn’t care about the things that belong to God because there’s no true conviction.

Let’s see what God said about Cornelius:

Acts 10:1-4 KJV
[1] There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band, [2] A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway. [3] He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius. [4] And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.

The Most High doesn’t just say that about anyone.

John was a unique case. Not meant to be taken as normative by any means.

Could you please show me where it said that Saul went to Hell?

I guess in your eyes Saul wasn’t truly saved since his actions didn’t line up with Scripture but if that’s true what about Solomon?

Also reposting my verse plus more proves nothing. John was filled with the Holy Ghost in his mother’s womb and we see that in his actions once he was born.

Cornelius was lost until he heard the Gospel. Peter went so that he and his house would be saved. Acts 11:14

He was lost?

Nonsense!

1 Corinthians 2:14 KJV
[14] But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

That’s the description of a lost person and Cornelius did not have these attributes.

I don't have to. I can point you to the fact that Saul never repented. I can point you to the fact that God removed His Spirit from Saul. You are free to make your own conclusion.
My only point is that you cannot make a dogmatic statement that John was regenerated in the womb.

so people who are not lost need to be saved?

I showed you in Scripture that he was regenerated. The natural man cannot be filled with the Holy Ghost. Sorry.
