He’s regeneration took place in his mother’s womb.

We do not know that.
What we know is that upon Elizabeth hearing Mary's voice, she was filled with the Holy Spirit and John jumped and kicked in the womb.

It is a leap in thought to say John was regenerated while in the womb.

In order to be filled with the Holy Ghost one has to be born again.

Regeneration precedes faith so if a person believes it’s because regeneration has already taken place.


Cornelius is a prime example that faith and regeneration do not happen simultaneously.


Cornelius showed attributes of a child of God before Peter came with the Gospel message.

Cornelius had faith as a God-Fearer. He had not been born from above till he heard the Gospel

This does not equal regeneration. King Saul was also filled with the Holy Spirit. Do you consider him to be regenerated?

Now, since I believe God has chosen his elect from before the foundation of the world, I have no problem with God having chosen John the Baptist before conception. I think you jump to a conclusion of regeneration in the womb that is not specifically stated.

Luke 1:12-17 And Zechariah was troubled when he saw him, and fear fell upon him. But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zechariah, for your prayer has been heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth, for he will be great before the Lord. And he must not drink wine or strong drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother’s womb. And he will turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God, and he will go before him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready for the Lord a people prepared."

Cornelius had faith as a God-Fearer. By your definition, everyone who still shows traces of being made in the image of God is regenerate.

The lost world doesn’t care about the things that belong to God because there’s no true conviction.

[4] And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.


The Most High doesn’t just say that about anyone.

Could you please show me where it said that Saul went to Hell?


I guess in your eyes Saul wasn’t truly saved since his actions didn’t line up with Scripture but if that’s true what about Solomon?

He simply received the spiritual birth before the physical birth. Not the norm by any stretch of the imagination

Of course all need to be saved. All of God’s elect will be saved (Matthew 1:21). What I’m saying is that those that only those that are saved will respond genuinely to the Gospel.
