Republicans criticize Confederate flags at Obama visit

You mean the history I have two degrees in and taught at the secondary and college levels for several years?

So, because somebody misuses a symbol, that makes the symbol bad?

If that's what you believe, then you need to be equally afraid of the American flag, since far more racism occurred under it than under the Confederate flag.

You might also want to take the cross out of your church (assuming you go to church) because it was used as a symbol of hatred and intimidation by the Klan.

And, for goodness' sake, stop singing Amazing Grace, because that song was written by a slave trader.

I agree. Your phobia is crazy.

Why do I care what people think about the flag? Look at the people here who object to it. They're all idiots and one crazy person. Why should I care what a bunch of idiots think?

Two degrees and several years of teaching - and your thoughts on the topic consist of deeming everyone who doesn't think your way idiots and crazy, so you don't care what anyone else feels.

That seems very odd.
Maybe more people will treat you like a human when you start acting like other humans matter.

Actually, people treat me just fine. It's just the people here who are so nasty.

In your case, I never said that people who don't think my way are idiots or crazy, but you still chose to slander me in that way.

So this one's on you.

It's the internet.

Most of them wouldn't be nearly as nasty in person. I think you know why.

And even though this is a Christian board, we have some non christian trolls here sowing discord at the behest of their master. But that is the internet as well. And that's what trolls do.

Because they know that if they talked to people in real life like they talk to people here, they'd get punched in the mouth.

Yeah, we have had some trolls. But for the most part, it's the ones who insist they're Christians.

And as bad as it is here, you should go over to OnlineBaptist sometimes. That's nothing but a snake pit over there.

Or you could just admit your behavior is wrong. And come up with something a bit more convincing than "idiots" and "crazy person" and actually discuss things instead of attacking people. It might be a good way to shut off opposing viewpoints, but that doesn't make you right.

Actually, I've discussed it to death and I've put up with all the idiots here telling us how we're "racists" because we happen to be proud of our heritage and culture.

And, yes, we know your understanding of our heritage and culture don't extend any further than "Slavery! Slavery!"

I have not seen the discussions, or forgot if I did. I'm not a "them," I'm a singular person, disagreeing with you.
But I see attempting to discuss differences with you is fruitless, so have fun in your limited circle of "those who agree" vs "the idiots." It is, after all, comfortable to stay in one's own comfort zone.

You haven't "attempted to discuss differences" with me. You just went right for the general witchiness. What a lucky man your husband must be to get to come home to you every night.

I'm sorry your world is so sad that you see it divided so narrowly into those who agree with you and idiots.

A dozen faithful disciples can do some pretty powerful things, no matter which leader they're emulating.

Gina B, please be real. KKK is not a growing threat to you or anyone. It has shrunk to irrelevance. The BLM protestors were probably glad to have a few people to yell at!
