I consider the Catholic Church of Rome to be a non-christian cult.
Consider...
1) Teaches the false gospel of justification by works.
2) Condemns the true gospel of justification by faith alone.
2) Has an unbiblical hierarcheal authority system.
3) Engages in blatant goddess worship.
4) Responds to pedophilia in the ranks by spending DECADES and DECADES covering up and sending the pervert Priests to other parishes in order to maintain the "Status Quo"
If this isnt a CULT...we owe apologies to the Mormons, JW's, Hari Krishnas and David Koresh.
You can define allot of churches by that then....Including two Fundamentalists churches I personally know & one reformed one in my neighborhood.....so what.
Where does the Catholic Church promote that?
Yes, and I remain far from convinced that orthodox Catholics offer worship to anyone other than the Triune God.
These churches fit the description above? How is that? Where do they promote "goddess worship"?
Do we really need to go there? I think it's been well hashed out before.
They are a christian denomination.
You know you just threw down the gauntlet....LOL Walter & Co are typing as we speak
I will give you the addresses & you can go see so yourself
I'd appreciate that.
Absolutely, I can't wait for DHK. This is going to be fun. Wait.... I'll be accused of being catholic again! We'll see how this goes. I might thrown in some atheistic aspects as well. I can imagine their faces turning red even now.
They are a christian denomination.
Yeah, just like the Mormons, the JW's are "Christian." Indeed, I regard the JW's more "Christian" than the Catholic Church. None of them are "Chrisitan" in the biblical use and sense of the term "Christian" (Acts 11). None of them render true worship to God as none of them have a Biblical ministry, a Biblical gospel, a Biblical membership, or Biblical ordinances. Worship must be conducted "in spirit and in truth" and Rome does not even come as close as the JW's in presenting true worship. They are accursed by God (Gal. 1:8-9). Please explain how you can be viewed "accursed" by God and yet are "Christian" in a Biblical sense OR that God would accept worship from that which is "accursed"?????????
Yes, I know it was the pagan's who called the saints at Antioch "Christian" but that was in response to what those pagans heard and saw in them - Christ! Furthermore, notice the langauge of Luke when he says they were "first" called Christians in Antioch! That means the term stuck and Luke did not repudiate it nor did the churches "of Christ" repudiate it. It was a compliment not an insult.
Rome is an insult to Christ. She is an insult to His gospel. She is an insult to His ordinances. She is an insult to His churches. She is an insult to His minister's. She is an insult to His name.
