All of scripture works towards and points to receiving Jesus Himself in Covenant Communion.
Zero evidence. Jesus Christ being the bread of life to be received by faith, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. I am that bread of life." The remembrance is of Jesus Christ shedding His blood for our sins until He comes, 1 Corinthians 11:26, "For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come." Remember Judas, Luke 22:19-21. Nowhere is there in the remembrance any promises of life from eating it. None.

You have the very words of Jesus Himself.

“ He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day “

Those citing charges of cannibalism walked away and no longer followed Jesus.

They never attended the Covenant Feast at the Last Supper, where Jesus gave His Body and Blood to be eaten and drunk.

These are the ones who made their excuses for not attending the wedding feast of the King.

This is the point of departure between the faithless and the faithful, those who believe Jesus words in faith and those who don’t.

Those who are stuck in human reason are left behind, those with Faith in Jesus words go on with the garment to attend the feast. Faith assures them their place at the Lords Table.

Jesus Flesh is real food and His blood is real drink.

This last test of Faith all the Apostles passed, with the exception of Judas, who still did not believe.

The Apostles did not understand but they believed nevertheless.

Peter made a supernatural act of faith in Jesus words.

“Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. “

Jesus does have the words of everlasting life, believe them even beyond your reason and understanding and put on the Garment of Faith.
There is no one else to go to, trust Jesus to the limit of your understanding then go beyond your understanding in Faith. The garment is received beyond your understanding.

Rationalisation is just another word for disbelief.

Trust Jesus words, make acts of faith in them, and you will pass through the narrow gate.

Those who disbelieve need proof, those who have Faith have the words of Christ.

Jesus was speaking of coming and believing in Him.
In the context of John 6:35-63. Has absolutely nothing to do with the remembrance. Not a thing.

People aren’t believing in Jesus if they don’t believe his words.

Do you understand this?

Believe Jesus words and you are believing in him.

Pass the test of Faith, take your Garment and take your place at the Lord’s Table.

That’s all the Scripture is saying.

Men intellectualise themselves out of salvation, when all they really needed to do was have Faith as little children.

But even now people don’t believe Jesus words.

“ And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.“

Believe first, and in that faith understanding will be given to you.

If you are waiting to understand before you believe, you will never understand and never believe.

You haven’t understood that Jesus flesh is real food and his blood is real drink.

That the Lord gave His Body and Blood to the Apostles to eat and drink in New and Everlasting Covenant. Where total self giving one to another occurs.

“ He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me and I in him “

Jesus gives his entire self, Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity, and we give our entire self to Jesus Body and soul. This is Covenant exchange of Persons, this is Communion.

It is you who fails to believe what it means, John 6:52-56, ". . . The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat? Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. . . ." Which means, what Jesus had explained, in John 6:35, ". . . And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. . . ."

And the bread that Jesus said He would give is His flesh for the life of the world.

He took bread and gave it to His disciples saying “ Take this all of you and eat it, this is my Body “

The Passover Lamb of Sacrifice is eaten, not just slain. This is when the bread He gave was His flesh.

Jesus is not the God of half measures, the New and Everlasting Covenant is the Covenant exchange of persons.

John 6:35-63 is not about the Passover, but Him being the Bread of Life received by faith per John 6:47-48, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. I am that bread of life." Believe what it says in it's context, John 6:35-63.

The passage in John is related to the Last Supper, because that is when Jesus does give his body and blood to be eaten and drunk.

Also in John, Judas does not believe Jesus flesh is real food and blood real drink. Also linking this disbelief with the future betrayal.

64But some of you do not believe me.” (For Jesus knew from the beginning which ones didn’t believe, and he knew who would betray him.)”

70Then Jesus replied, “Have I not chosen you, the Twelve? Yet one of you is a devil!” 71(He meant Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, who, though one of the Twelve, was later to betray him.)”

When does Judas later betray Jesus, at the Last Supper, precisely when Jesus gives his Body and Blood to be eaten and drunk.

Instead of believing Jesus words and receiving Jesus in Covenant at the Last Supper, it was then that Satan entered him.

That is why the Lords Supper is not just an ordinary meal of bread and wine, but the Body and Blood of Christ.
It is a Covenant, and covenants come with blessings, but also curses to those who break them.

That is why belief is essential before you can partake of this Covenant feast.

You must have the garment of Faith, or you are cast into the outer darkness by the King.

What does Jesus explicitly call the bread of life?

John 6:49-56: I am that bread of life. Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, 'How can this man give us his flesh to eat?' Then Jesus said unto them, 'Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.'"

Christ is clear: The bread that he gives is INDEED his flesh.

No it is not. The true Manna from Heaven versus the New Covenant remembrance instituted at Passover. The only thing they have in common is the use of similar symbolism. One is not the other. I have explained this and you refuse to believe.
Jesus the Bread of Life you come and believe, it is the one time deal to forever have eternal life. The remembrance is intended to be repeated. Their purposes are not the same.
So either one has Christ (1 John 5:12) or one never yet has Christ (2 Corinthians 13:5).

Judas disbelief in John 6 is directly associated with his future betrayal at the Last Supper.
Disbelief in Jesus words in John 6 meant that receiving the Eucharist at the Last Supper was fatal for Judas.
Peter had made the supernatural act of Faith in Jesus words and believed, but Judas did not believe.
Why does disbelief in Jesus teaching that His Flesh is real food and Blood real drink directly associate to the future betrayal of Jesus at Last Supper.
That is when Jesus gives His Body and Blood to eat and drink, Judas still did not believe.
Whoever eats and drinks unworthily, eats and drinks his damnation.

That is why we must believe and recognise the Body and Blood of Christ.

The body and blood of Christ brings everlasting life to those who believe.

But it brings damnation to those who don’t and are unworthy.

Thankfully the real presence does not happen in Protestant services, nor is it their intention. The bread and wine remain what they are.
Otherwise they would be receiving without recognising the Body and Blood of Christ.

But in Catholic and Orthodox churches the Apostolic Authority is handed down by Apostolic succession and at consecration the bread and wine become the Body and Blood of Christ.

John 6:53 "...except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man AND drink his blood, ye have no life in you."
John 6:54 " Whosoever eateth my flesh AND drinketh my blood hath eternal life."
John 6:56 " He that eateth my flesh AND drinketh my blood dwelleth in me and I in him."

This is not an either/or command give by Christ to his people. It is NOT a eat flesh OR drink blood. One action is not exclusive of the other.

In most catholic assemblies, ONLY the priest drinks the figurative blood/wine. How then can the laity have the eternal life if they only partake in the body and NOT the blood? How can they abide in Him if they NOT drunk His blood? It would seem that they have not received nor believed the word.

Some teach it is sufficient for the priest to receive the wine and bread but for the laity to receive only the bread. Scripture and verse please. This is clearly NOT the example that Christ gave to the apostles when he instituted the supper.

Since catholicism makes such an issue of transubstantiation, why does it deny part of the ordinance to those whom they say must have it in order to have life?
