Mainly, let us pray for our brothers and sisters in Ukraine and Russia who will be affected by this deadly aggression by Vladimir Putin.

I keep in mind what happened to the Fascists and Nazis during the Patriotic War when they invaded. Partizans. And this time the Ukrainians prepared. for the invasion.

Yep, I've taken note that the Ukrainian people and not the government are going to be the forces that just might turn this into a nightmare for Putin.

Good comment on praying for the people. I think there is needlessly bellicose posturing from leaders on both sides, but the people are the ones who are going to suffer. We lived in Ukraine for eight months and got to know good Christians there, some pro-Russian others pro-Ukraine.

I think that Putin overreacted here, but it is not an "invasion". The reports that I have read are that the Russian troops are (or have) withdrawn. Also, Ukraine is not a democracy. A president of a democracy ought not to imprison the leader of the opposition party, which is what Zelensky did.

I like the recent comments from Tucker Carlson on this. Bottom line, I guess, is that there is a lot of simplistic reportage on this: "Russia bad! Ukraine good!"

Just hide and watch. Ukraine will get steam rolled. I heard a military analyst a couple weeks ago say that China had committed to air, naval, and missile artillery support if needed.

I read something this morning that said Ukraine will be Russia by the end of today.

It kinda sends a patriotic shiver down my spine when I think of our brave ruling class declaring that they are slapping sanctions against Russia, and that they will hold firm no matter the financial cost to the rest of us commoners. :Thumbsup

The PRC has to get their equipment there. And they have to get any naval assets through Turkey. If the Russians have turncoats in place then there'll be a steamroll. If Kyiv has its counter-intelligence in order, it won't.

Did Russia make sure to address the Ukrainians with the proper pronouns while invading? Are they an open an affirming military?

Our best U.S Military leaders need to know these important questions so that we can continue to build the "best fighting force on the planet".

The U.S and the West as a whole unfortunately have 0 moral high ground from which to attack Russia. We could still engage them militarily but it won't be a Christian U.S vs a Godless USSR like it used to be. It will instead be a Godless U.S vs a Christian Autocracy. We could still win, but it wouldn't be a moral victory.

Matthew 24:6, NIV. "You will hear of wars and rumours of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom.......'

We should be appalled and angry, but not alarmed; because if such things did not happen the Bible would not be true. Nor should we be looking at the news to form our eschatology, for the end is still to come, and the Day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night, while people are saying "peace" and "safety" (1 Thessalonians. 5:1-3). Not too many people saying that at the present time, I think.

As for Putin being any sort of Christian, 'The LORD abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man.'
