I don't remember Christ mentioning using the threat of force to secure help for the poor. Where can I find this bible lesson?

I would say it shows you actually accept Christ as your lord and savior as you are willing to really follow him in your beliefs, actions and deeds. Why did he give his teachings if he did not believe that people should follow them?

I agree they alone do not save, but they show if you really have any real faith and commitment to Christ. How can a person say they believe if they are unwilling to follow Christ's teachings?
