What is a bold faced lie? That Russia is not communist any more?
Or no reason for Baptist Churches to go underground?

Baptist Pastor Donald Ossewaarde. One of the first Christians arrested in 2017 after Russia instituted a new law green lighting persecution again.

We personally know his Brother who was on staff at our church.

There's a Fox news article on the internet also about this.

You have been established as a liar.

Technically, communism may not reign in Russia, but a totalitarian equivalent does.

Putin is an ex-KGB colonel now at the helm of what he dreams of becoming the new USSR, or Russian empire. He fits the mentality there of needing a strong leader not unlike Stalin. The latter is yet a hero because he defeated the Nazis in the Great Patriotic War saving the USSR.

After gaining office, Putin systematically seized power all over Russia, including economic resources, replacing the oligarchs with his own cronies. He is a megalomaniacal dictator not unlike Hitler, but much better trained.

That is not true. He does not dream of building the old USSR. That's a lie of the West! It's called propaganda. If he wanted to take over Ukraine why did he limit himself to 200,000 troops for his Special Military Operation? If you want to push out an entrenched foe it calls for a 3 or 4 to 1 advantage in troops. Ukraine has 700,000 (or had). Now one of his Generals, or all of them would have told Putin he needs more than 200,000 troops to take Ukraine. By that alone you know the Western billionaires owned news media is lying.

I have not been established as a liar. That is only your opinion. There are many Baptist Churches in Russia. Yes, unfortunately I have just learned about persecutions, (I was in the dark about that) but don't deny that there are Baptist Churches in Russia.

Well then, at least you admit you are ignorant of facts concerning Putin’s persecution of Baptist churches.

Perhaps God will open your eyes to Putin’s illegal war and his atrocities in Ukraine.

peace to you

That information may or may not be widely publicized in the west (I haven’t been trying to keep up with it and am not interested in defending our own lying media), but is obtainable through Russian sources.

It is not his dream alone, but that of thousands from the old Soviet regime, as well as millions nostalgic for their Soviet comradery, misguided though it is. This mindset has been in evidence since the fall of the USSR.

With state media, the professional propagandists manipulate it quite easily. On the other hand, those who don’t buy into it risk severe repercussions, if they openly defy this brutal dictator.

Belarus is already under his thumb and its own brutal dictator answerable to Moscow. That same “president” also served as a model for Putin’s own rise to power. Look at the map and think about why Putin would be invading Ukraine from Belarus.

He may be megalomaniacal, but he is quite cagey, KGB trained tactically (pun intended). A full invasion from the outset would be inadvisable, as in extremely foolish.

Optics are important, propaganda key. “Special military operation” is his euphemism for the war he is waging. One of his own ministers may have nervously bumbled when he approved on cue but called it an invasion. Putin didn’t flinch, just corrected him.

That Ukrainian Oblast Referendum voting card in full:

Would you like to become a member or the Russian Federation? Yes

Or

Would you like to be dragged from.your apartment, beaten, have your teeth and fingernails pulled out, shot and your body dumped in a mass grave? No

The dictatorship in Belarus has served as a model for Putin's Russia including this, although he did delay it a bit.

Reportedly, within the former USSR Ukraine, and especially the current region being invaded for annexation, has witnessed the most positive response to the Gospel.

He's lived there. You and I haven't. Doubtless other witnesses can be produced who live there who can tell us a different story; the article itself alludes to them
