Russia - Ukraine war

Isn't it odd that there is not any real combat footage of engagements between Ukrainian and Russian forces? In this age with everyone having a camera phone, coupled with all the war correspondents, why is there no actual battle footage? Supposedly there are nearly 4,000 Russian casualties. But odd there is no footage of them in battle.

Russia trolls the left with their own game……’If you don’t stand with us, you’re a Fascist Nazi.’

Well there absolutely is though. Most not on sights that can be consumed by the public but trust me, it’s there. Not exactly like a Netflix subscription we are talking about here.

What makes you think there isn't any?

Where? In this age of camera phones, there should be a plethora. After all, we are told 4000 Russian soldiers have already been killed in combat.

The United States invaded Iraq 19 years ago. There is tons of footage (just google it or go to YouTube) of that war. The battles of Mosul or Ramadi are there for all to see, with actual combat footage, engagements, etc.

US Launches Airstrike Against al-Shabaab in Somalia
The strike is the first one in Somalia reported by AFRICOM in 2022
by Dave DeCamp Posted on February 23, 2022Categories NewsTags Somalia

The US launched an airstrike against al-Shabaab in Somalia on Tuesday, US Africa Command (AFRICOM) said on Wednesday. It marks the first US bombing of Somalia reported by AFRICOM in 2022.

AFRICOM said it conducted the strike in a remote location near Duduble, Somalia, in support of the US-backed government. The Somali military said its special forces, known as the Danab, killed 60 al-Shabaab fighters on Tuesday in operations in several areas in the Hiran region, including in Duduble.

AFRICOM said its “initial assessment” found no civilian casualties in its airstrike, but as recent reporting has shown, the Pentagon is notorious for undercounting civilian casualties. When it comes to Somalia, whenever journalists make it to the scene of a US airstrike, they usually find that civilians were killed.

The last US airstrike in Somalia that was reported by AFRICOM was conducted on August 24th, 2021. AFRICOM now declares almost all of its strikes in Somalia, but the CIA also conducts drone strikes and raids in the country in secret, so it’s tough to know how active the US is in the war against al-Shabaab.

AFRICOM cited the 2001 authorization for the use of military force (AUMF) that was passed after the September 11th attacks as the justification for Tuesday’s strike. Al-Shabaab didn’t exist at the time, but after years of fighting the US and its proxies, the group declared loyalty to al-Qaeda in 2012, giving Washington the excuse it needs to invoke the 2001 AUMF.

I have personally seen videos of russian armored vehicles taken out by molotov cocktails, seen russian missile strikes, what makes you think there is no footage?

Under Trump

Is that all this is? Something to do with Trump? Just say “Trump said Putin is smart so I have to die on this hill about Putin being smart now” even though you keep circling back to oil as if that somehow answers the question about how this series of events is anyway smart. The return on investment here is going to pail in comparison for Putin.

Yeah I don't get the mentality of some people. They will go down with the ship no matter how many times they are told it's sinking. I guess it's pride.

Unfortunately for Trump fans, he will never be able to shake off his comments / admiration for Putin. As Putin has now become a pariah, so too will anyone in his orbit.

Trump won't even make it out of a primary now. Putin aside, some of us haven't forgotten that Trump was the Godfather of the lockdowns and shutting down the economy. He instituted it. He owns it.

Again, you equate saying he is smart with somehow praising him and also somehow saying it worked out. Neither of those things were said. But it was smart to make America dependent on Russia for oil. We were energy independent under Trump. We could survive without Russia under Trump. That's a fact, not politics. Putin waited to strike until he had us where he wanted us. That doesn't mean he did not miscalculate other areas.

But our oil makes green house gases when burned in our cars. Imported oil obviously does not produce greenhouse gases when it burns. The tankers that bring it here don't emit green house gases either.
