I would like our Sabbath Keepers to spell out their practice of keeping the Sabbath, with Scripture references. Tell us exactly what you do, or do not do, and when your Sabbath begins and when it ends according to our Calendar.

Obviously keeping the Sabbath according to the old law would have to be kept like the Hasidic/Orthodox Jews do today, as any other way would be an abomination.

But we will see that they will claim that they can have things both ways, that they are merely worshipping on Saturday Christians while avoiding the other 600 or so commands required for those who live by the old law.

IF the Sda want to be really honest on keeping the Sabbath as God meant it to be kept under the Old Covenant, would think few if any of them really keep it as God demanded.
And demanding the Sabbath must be kept is adding another law to the Gospel of Jesus, so would be another Gospel as per Paul.

Mark 2:27 - "Sabbath was made for mankind" - specifically setting scope for Sabbath.
Isaiah 56:6-8 Gentiles specifically singled out for Sabbath keeping
Acts 18:4 "EVERY Sabbath" both Jews and gentiles gather for Gospel preaching and worship in the Synagogue
Acts 15 - the Crisis for the NT solved in part because "Moses is preached every Sabbath in the Synagogues"

The Ten commandments was the basis in which God entered into His covenant with the Israelites...As the whole law expounds on the Ten. Christ said we have entered into a new covenant through His blood. If you want to keep the Sabbath and insist others do as well, you're a part of an annulled covenant. Flee from your false teachings and find rest in the Lord of the Sabbath, Christ Jesus the King!

How come you don't keep all the other 600 or so commands that are needed to be done to satisfy God? Just keeping the Saturday Sabbath is not going to do it for you. As someone here said before, one finds rest in Jesus, not a particular day.

Oh, and by the way you need to keep Kosher also. (Hint - buying your meat at the Piggly Wiggly or Publix does not mean you are keeping kosher).

By all means keep the law and as Jesus has said - every jot and tittle.

But be careful and diligent...

Can you give the specific time range for the Sabbath, what you are allowed to do and what you are not allowed to do and what you are required to do on the Sabbath?

I don't believe a full and definitive answer can be forthcoming as a descriptive answer according to the HaTorah (The law) would be condemning.

e.g. No fire is allowed on the sabbath

Leviticus 35
2 Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be to you an holy day, a sabbath of rest to the LORD: whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to death.
3 Ye shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon the sabbath day.

This means one can not cook, turn on a light (tiny flame) drive a car (internal combustion).

In addition sabbatarians do not kill those who work on the sabbath.

Here is another one.
One can not privately own images, they are forbidden.

Yet I would say sabbatarians have wallets and purses full of images - their money with images of dead people, animals, etc...

You cannot wear clothes of mixed fabric.
You cannot plant more than one crop in your garden.
You can only walk (not ride a horse, drive, etc on the sabbath and only about .6 of a mile.
and etc, etc, etc...

You can expect a verbal tap dance of deception in an attempt to claim they keep God's law (HaTorah) while actually breaking it in many ways..

I can go through the 600 plus mitzvouth with any sabbatarian and see which they keep and don't keep.

Acts is a transition book, recording the change for the early Church from being all Jewish, and observing temple worship, gathering on Sabbath day, to the time of the New Covenant firmly established, with both Jews/Gentiles then observing Sunday worship, as day of the Lord!

NONE of them agree that Saturday as Sabbath would be now upon us in the Church, but that we still are obligated to obswerve a Day unto the Lord, in their case, Sunday!

The commands of God are what Jesus and His Apostles wrote to us to observe, not the entire Mosaic Law, and would NOT either save or keep us saved!
