I am not a one issue voter, steaver. I don't recall social issues ever being determinative of my vote even when I voted for Ronald Reagan in 1984 or George W. Bush in 2000 and 2004.

I know that bothers you, steaver, but that's just the way it is.

It does bother me Ken. And this is why I continue to preach the word to you. Not to irritate you but in hopes you might see the light and repent.

Jam 5:20Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

God Bless!

Translation: I will continue to badger you until you come to see things exactly the way I do. You know, just like Jesus did.

Ken, you're a two issue voter. Foreign policy and civil liberties. So you double Steaver

Kidding, guys.

There are over a hundred different countries in the world. Each one is a separate issue.

Interesting.

Can you find anywhere is Christ's teachings where He said if you don't want the child in your womb you can have someone pull the child out by it's feet, all but the head, and while it squirms with it's arms and legs kicking pierce it's skull with a knife, suck it's brains out until dead and discard it?

God Bless!

What does your statement have to do with Hagee wanting to kill thousands of Iranians? The man is not a Christian if that is what he preaches ... and he does preach that. You response had nothing to add to this thread, it simply blew smoke.:tonofbricks:

Now somebody is not a Christian if they want to go to war? I thought someone was not a Christian for rejecting Christ

Unbelievable... :BangHead:

That is just not good enough. Is it? No.

I made points, you pushed them aside.

I asked for a larger context for the quotes you provided, you have not provided.

That leads me to believe that you have not read Hagee's book.

I ask you, have you read Hagee's book? Yes or No.

If you don't reply, or if you avoid directly answering that question in your reply, I will be forced to assume the answer is no. In which case I have to wonder why you are using isolated quotes from a book you have not read (when you have easy access to it).

==I have not watched Hagee in several years. Therefore I don't know his position on Iran. Can you provide solid, contextual proof that he desires to "kill thousands of Iranians"?

Thanks.

I never watch him. However my brother watches him all the time and he, my brother, told me about Hagee's preaching on how we should take Iran out. It has made my brother, who was a big Hagee supporter, wonder about Hagee and how he can preach the killing of thousands of innocent people. Of course Hagee is an "end times" preacher and from what I hear just can't wait for the last war to begin.

Here is a quote from LewRockwell.com ...

If left up to Hagee, there would be a military strike against Iran today. Since last summer, Hagee has been practically foaming at the mouth for a new war with Iran. Why? Because he thinks it is the rest of the world’s job to fight Israel’s wars and because he thinks such a showdown is a piece of the puzzle in regards to Bible prophecy. To Hagee, there is no middle ground on this issue. God told Abraham he would "bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you" (Gen. 12:3). That means if YOU aren’t on board with wars that might be in Israel’s interest, but not in the United States’, then YOU will be cursed by God. At least according to Hagee.

BILL MOYERS JOURNAL reports on the politically powerful group Christians United for Israel, whose leader, Pastor John Hagee, advocates for a preemptive strike against Iran. You can find this link by doing an online search. The link would not copy correctly for me.

Advocating war and advocating the killing of thousands of innocnet people is rejecting all the teachings of Christ concerning how we should treat others.

...yet God commanded the killing of thousands of people in the OT. He is against murder...not war. Being for war does not make one lost.

God showed us a much better way through the life and teachings of Christ. Are you saying the OT is more important than Christ's teachings? Christ, who was God on earth, taught us better. It was not that God had changed, but revealed himself and his wants and desires on how we treat each other by his living on earch and teaching us.

Remember Christ, God on earth, said, "Love your enemy," and "Go the second mile." To me this negates any OT teachings or commands concerning war. You simply cannot follow Chist and be an advocate for war. You must follow Christ, go the second mile, love your enemy and the world in time will become a much better place.

Too bad so called 'christians' in our modern world have not practiced Christ's commands concerning how we are to treat others.

I'm saying they are on par. ALL 66 books are the Word of God. Christ's teaching don't hold more weight, and vice versa. Christ is God, remember? HE commanded the slaughter of innocent men, women and children.

So where has God, in the Bible, commanded that these United States go to war with Iran?

So you reject Pastor Hagee's position on going to war with Iran? Kudos to you, then.
