"C)You cannot distinguish yourself between praise (dulia) and worship (latria), which has been a distinction since the bible."
Oh my...its the "its a completly different word!" nonsense again.

OK.

If I walk down the street and pull out a revolver and kill someone I will be arrested and charged with murder.

But I dont have to be.

All I have to do is say to the police officers who arrested me...

"But officer...I dont call it murder. I dont call it killing. What I did officer was I "bliffed" that person! See? I didnt kill him, I "bliffed" him. Its not the same word at all!! Can I go home now?"
The officers would laugh in my face.

And thats why the old worn out "dulia" vs "latria" craziness goes in one ear and out the other.

"We dont worship Mary because we call it by a different word!"

It never ceases to amaze....but its a sad amazement.

Here is an example...one among hundreds just like it...of what is NOT goddess worship, because they have decided to..(wink)..call it by a different word...

"Enraptured by the splendor of your heavenly beauty and impelled by the anxieties of the world, we cast ourselves into your arms, Oh Immaculate Mother of Jesus and our Mother

....we adore and praise the peerless richness of the sublime gifts with which God has filled you above every other mere creature,..."
Everyone else but Mary is just a "mere creature", but of course...

This isnt goddess worship here.

"...from the moment of conception until the day on which after your assumption into heaven, He crowned you Queen of the Universe."
She is the crowned Queen of the Universe, but of course...

This isnt goddess worship.

"Oh crystal fountain of
faith, bathe our hearts with your heavenly perfume.

Oh Conqueress of evil and death,..."
She is both the Conqueress of evil and of death, but of course...

This isnt goddess worship.

"...inspire in us a deep horror of sin which makes the soul detestable to God and the slave of hell. Oh well-beloved of God, hear the ardent cries which rise up from every heart in this year dedicated to you.

Then tenderly, Oh Mary, cover our aching wound; convert the wicked, dry the tears of the afflicted and the oppressed. Comfort the poor and humble. Quench hatred,
sweeten harshness, safeguard the flower of purity and protect the Holy Church."
She has the power to convert wicked people, dry all the tears of all the afflicted world wide, to quench hatred, and protect the entire church world wide.

But of course...

This isnt goddess worship.

"In your name resounding harmoniously in heaven, may they recognize that all are brothers...Receive, Oh sweet Mother our humble supplications and above all, obtain for us that on that day, happy with you, we may repeat before your throne that hymn which is sung today around your altars."
Sung world wide around HER altars, but of course...

This isnt goddess worship.

"You are beautiful Oh Mary. You are the Glory Oh Mary. You are the joy, you are the Honor of
our people.
"
But of course...

This isnt goddess worship.

Because, unbelievably, they decide to..(wink)..call it by a different word.

May God have mercy.
