Should a Christian get tattoos

I have always thought tatoos like trashy on everyone.

Men, women, young, old, black, white, hispanic, asian, rich, poor, lots of tatoos, one tatoo, etc etc.

I just cant in my wildest dreams comprehend how ANY human being can want one.

Thats just my personal feeling about it.

From a scriptural point of view, I would have to say we have liberty as long as we arent doing it as a form or worship, wich seems to be Gods specific OT prohibition.


I still think they all look trashy, though.

My problem is with the ones that think they are spiritualy(sp), and morally better than the ones that do.

I am not sure where I heard this but tattoos are portals for demonic activity.
I just think it is risky any way you look at it.
It just isn't a good testimony at all. "Avoid all appearance of evil" that is scriptural.

That's OK Robert. I only live in a travel trailer. So I'm even lower than what he calls 'trailer park trash'. An actual mobile home would be an upgrade for me. So thanks for trying to take up for us 'lower life forms'.

No, taxpayers who benefit from government are morally responsible for paying taxes. The government has the duty to collect fair taxes and it is morally wrong to tax excessivley.

Immorality breeds immorality and the "mark your skin crowd" is more connected to the immoral society verses a moral one.

Certain ignorant tribes people believe that putting large saucers behind their lips enhances their appearance. Yet they have never convinced me that it does, any more that those who believe tattoos enhance their appearance..

And yet....this still doesn't disqualify them from believing in God and going to Heaven.

God inspired the words to say markings in the flesh, which includes tattoos, are not to be made for the dead. You say there are tattoos that are not made for the dead, but God said markings are not to be made for the dead. You say you hate tattoos, God says not to make markings in the flesh for the dead. Tattoos are markings in the flesh. The synonomous connection is there for anyone but you to see. And of course, in your opinion, when someone gets a tattoo, they get it for the 'dead'. You're a cod-brain.

I cannot help you. No, you can't. You take the scripture and use it for your own perspective, then try to call out all others that don't meet YOUR ideal.You refuse to see the connectivity. So what are the reasons for tattoos?

1. To decorate the FLESH and that dishonors God I'm a Christian, not a Jew. I'm not under the law.

2. To impress your buddies while in a drunken stupor Don't know what you are talking about. What did you do in a drunken stupor with your buddies?

3. To show a side of a female to indicate her willingness to hint towards her being immoral Gee, even if that was true, (which it is not) how would you know? (Guess it was in that drunken stupor you were in.)

4. To make markings for the dead Yeah, right. You got us. All tattoos now-a-days are for the dead. You must have been to one of our meetings.

All the above indicate deadness Again, you are correct....as long as it pertains to your posts.

Since you see to be so willing to forgive me, just what sin is it you're accusing me of making?
