As long as the "party of death", the democrat party, controls one house of Congress or the presidency nothing of substance will be done about abortion unless and until the Americans finally get sick of the slaughter. This was demonstrated most clearly so that even the blind should understand while Clinton was president and the Republicans controlled the House and Senate. On two occasions the Congress passed a bill making Partial Birth Abortion illegal. On both occasions Clinton vetoed the bill. When Bush became president the bill was passed again and Bush signed it into law.
Also during those years 2001-2007 Congress sent a bill to Bush that required medical treatment for babies alive after an abortion, a bill he signed. It is notable that on 3-4 occasions the goulash leader of the party of death, Obama, fought against a similar bill in the Illinois Senate.
It should be obvious even to the near blind that the democrat party, the party of death, and the mainstream media have sold themselves to evil in their support of abortion. Consider the publicity given a Texas legislator who filibustered a bill in Texas that would eliminate abortion after 20 weeks and require abortuaries to meet certain medical criteria. The bill was passed into law in a second special session. This woman, however, was glorified by both the party and media and is now the democrat candidate for governor of Texas.
It should also be noted that the American taxpayer is paying for abortions performed by Planned Parenthood, which performs 30-40% of the abortions in this country.
Pure foolishness. Abortion is a sin issue. It's not a political issue the way that some in the church want to keep making it in order to take the responsibility for the moral decline of America off the church's shoulders.
I wholeheartedly agree that abortion is a sin. However it is also a political issue and the "party of death", the democrat party, is a disgusting bunch of politicians who support the slaughter of the unborn.
It's a political issue because the church has rolled over and ceded the responsibility of dealing with it to the government and then sat back and argued within the church about party's of death and why now 50 million dead babies later no one has STILL done anything substantive to stop abortion.
There is one solution for sin: JESUS CHRIST. And until the Body of Christ gets on the same page about that and stops trying to make this into a Republican vs Democrat political issue, then expect the dead babies to continue LITERALLY stacking up.
You might be more credible if just one time you condemned the "party of death", the democrat party, and its leader, Obama!
Like I said, pure foolishness and it is now evident that you have little to no concern about seeing lost souls won because politics has become the god of your life.
This foolish them vs us constant argument by folks in the church is the problem. It ain't Obama. It ain't the party of death. It ain't the Democrat party.
It's YOU!
When you just once condemn Obama and the party of death you will gain some credibility. Until then feel free to blame me for all your problems, even in the largest possible text!

Some of you who have posted on this thread seem to believe that the United States is in some way a sort-of "Modern-Day Israel."

Perhaps if those in the church would stop trying to blame the Democrats or the Republicans for not having the answer to sin, some headway can be made in lovingly sharing the Gospel and seeing folks saved and not wanting to get an abortion in the first place.
