Know that some baptists belong to them as part of a 'club", but should we belong to them, especially IF in official leadership positions such as pastors/elders/teachers etc?
My Dad and the pastor I grew up under always said a believer should never be a member of any secrative organization. My Dad belonged to the odd fellows when I was young but he disassociated himself from them.
Years ago a friend and I attended a special seminar that spoke about Freemasonry. Some terrible anti-Christian teachings. Especially about highest levels (30th up) where they are taught that Lucifer is the true God. I remember a few people coming up the front for advice and prayer afterwards. http://www.ephesians5-11.org/index.html

No they should not. The oath associated with joining this group alone should bring anyone pause.
Just curious why there seems to be little said about this particular group?

What do you mean by little said. In what setting do you see a need for more on this?
My father was a 33rd degree free mason, has mason bible and all of their 'goodies" hand shake/oaths etc!
I grew up in a town here in MI near Flint MI, and was surprised to see just how many local business and clergy seemed to be part of that group!
Not sure how this happens except that those who are in it do not share it very much. They tend to be pretty secretive to their masonry activities.
I went to a Texas where almost every deacon was mason and even the pastor. They masde it very obvious.
Which is rare
I know of a church in Arkansas that allow the masons to meet in their building.

Of course and the SBC is not independent. We know
