Should Christians celebrate Christmas?

Back to the THEME of the thread:

Observing Christmas is up to the individual. One should follow Paul's guideline & not criticize anyone else who observes, non-observes, or observes differently from you, according to that person's own beliefs.

While jews don't observe it, the merchants among them certainly take advantage of the season, as they do in Bethlehem.

I agree that you should be free on this issue since there is nothing against. I also deny that there are pagan or papist roots.

Old earthers dominate the secular culture and the church. The science is propped up by federal money since Sputnik in October 1957. There is no Scripture. Old earthers claim that YECs drive people away, but high school kids say that they leave because American science contradicts Scripture. YECs are small in number but growing. YECs believe American science is unscientific.

But, of course, the YE platform is based upon imagination, opinion, & guesswork, while the OE platform is based upon FACTS that God has permitted, or even caused, us to discover.

I suggest we open up a new thread & leave this one to its OP about Christmas. I shall proceed to do so now, in the "other Christian denoms" sub-forum, so non-Baptists may participate as well.

Okay, Merry Christmas!
