Should I ask forgiveness or CONFRONT this person???

A certain person whom I had a major disagreement and separation with some years ago, and whom I sent an apology for my part of the division and have made attempts to reconcile but to stone cold silence in return. Should I attempt one more time? The last attempt was a year ago.

Or perhaps I should warn this person about being a possible false convert. Many whom come from the IFB movement are as such as they have said the sinners prayer, and grew up in "easy-believism" type churches and grew up in "culture christianity" whom are in fact false converts pretending to be true believers. Perhaps this may explain why this person and others of this ilk do not forgive nor seek to reconcile with others.

What should I do? Recently I made peace with a brother whom I had a major disagreement and separation many years ago. This brother has moved to Reformed Theology and has understand his part in the separation and has moved away from the false Christianity that plagues the Arminianism movement.

Dude, you sound like a mindless parrot for Reformed theology. I stress MINDLESS.

What does being an Arminian or Calvinist have to do with this person who will not speak to you?

Call or write the person and tell them you would like to fix your relationship. If the person will not listen to you, be nice and give them space. In time they may come around.

Because false converts are enemies of the gospel and therefore will not forgive others nor seek reconciliation. Perhaps the difference may be because I am dealing with a false convert. I certainly do not know, nor can I say that this person is one.

Preach grace to the proud and watch what they do with it. They will trample the blood of the Savior under their feet with their false profession, and, what's more, they will become enemies of the Gospel. If not physically, you can be sure they will tear you in pieces verbally.

They have "insulted the Spirit of grace."(Hebrews 10:29) That means they insult the Holy Spirit. "Bitterness" and "backslider" are bad bedfellows for the Church. The proselyte becomes a twofold child of Hell.

I may make another attempt to reconcile.

Maybe the person thinks you're a jerk.

You are completely oblivious to how conceited and self righteous you come across to people. It is no wonder this person will not speak to you.

Biblical Evangelism

To what was Jesus referring when He said not to give what is holy to the dogs? To what was He pointing when He said not to cast pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces?(Matthew 7:6) The most precious pearl the Church has is "Christ crucified." Preach grace to the proud and watch what they do with it. Remember, biblical evangelism is "Law to the Proud, and Grace to the Humble." There goes another minute. Gone forever. Go share your faith while you still have time.

I do not know and thats why I was thinking about a possible warning but stressing that only God knows.

You cannot possibly know whether someone is a false convert or not so why in an attempt to "reconcile" would you ever question this person about it? Maybe you're a false convert.

You need to start thinking for yourself and quit letting others tell you who you are. This is probably why you have great difficulty getting along with people.

It is wonderful that you want to see people saved. Nevertheless, you shouldn't go around with this holier-than-thou attitude. A real born-again person realizes they are just a sinner saved by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are no better than them, in fact, if you are a real Christian then you would know you are worse, because you know better. This is why Paul called himself the chief of sinners.

1 Tim 1:15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

Dude, you need a dose of humility big time.

I am a slave, yes I am a slave of God.. I am indeed a slave and I have humility and realize that I am not perfect nor do I have it all together. However when it comes to theology and doctrine I stand for the truth and will not back down.

Perhaps you misunderstand CONVICTION with pride.

Give me a break, you are NOT humble, you constantly judge others. You think you know all the answers, trust me, YOU DO NOT.

You do not stand for truth. I promise you that Reformed theology is false doctrine. Someday you MIGHT find that out for yourself.

You have every right to believe whatever you desire, but you need to get off your high horse. You are no better than others, you may be much worse.

Ding, ding, ding!!! Give that man a cigar. Unless of course you're opposed to tobacco use then I'd give you a carrot. Carrots don't lead to dancing do they?

Anyway, E6589, it is possible your separation from this feller has been a blessing for him. Leave him alone and trust that the Holy Spirit can work in his life without your intervention. The only thing I know about you is what you post here. From that I could honestly say if I knew you in person and I saw you walking down the produce aisle at Walmart I would dodge and dart until I was safely hidden in the bakery.

Why don't you spend some time working on areas of conflict in your own life?

So if they're a member of a church that falls under "arminian classification," they're not really saved? Is that what we're saying?

So there are NO saved catholics, or any other Christian denomination?
-- Edited to add:
So we can only be saved if we agree with the teachings of calvin?

Only those who have the seal of approval by Evang are saved.

That is NOT what I am saying. You have put words into my mouth.

Then you should be very plain and clear with what you say, because what you said was that arminianism teaches easy believism and creates false converts.

You most certainly should NOT confront this person. You can only ask for forgiveness; you cannot require that he/she forgives you. You've asked; let it go.
