Would you say that he knew as much as a Jewish man of his era, but that the Holy Spirit gave to Him what He needed when he needed it knowledge wise?
Or was it that he always knew all things, since still fully God, but placed himself under limitations of the Human flesh?

I think He limited Himself to the constraints of the Time Period. This would jive w the kenosis in Philippians- He emptied Himself!

I THINK that one of the things that He emptied Himself of is His Perfect Knowledge - wouldnt this be a type of humiliation? To think that the Lord God of Heaven would humble Himself like that for sinners!

I could be wrong, I am willing to be corrected if so!

We do know that as a member of the Godhead that His knowledge and Wisdom is always perfect.

Great discussion

Other opposing thoughts?

I would not see it ever being though that he was accommodating Himself to culture and times, as in some have stated that Jesus talked about demons due to their ignorance in thinking they existed, as believe that they really existed and that he dealt with them!

Let me rephrase

He chose to not know about airplanes cars etc

In Spiritual matters, He knew everything

Make sense?

Hopefully. Lol

Yes, the style of writing in the NT is quite varied. Luke and Paul seem to be the most well educated while John , and Peter wrote in a much simpler style (words and phrases) ...

When we have a new Christian - we often recommend that they read the Book of John. Why - because a new Christian needs something that is in a "Simpler style"

Funny story

Buddy of mine leads a man to Christ

Tells him to read John

Next week they meet

Jim says well did you complete reading John?

New disciple. Um yes, but Im really embarrassed about it

Jim why? What was embarassing

New believer: well I read to the end of the Bible. I hope that was ok? Did I do that wrong

Jim. Nono. You did just fine
