Nope we are broke. Cannot afford another war
The influence of those who hold futurist doctrine has been nothing but a monstrous disaster for US policy.
A few things to note. We have not actually declared war on ANYONE since World War 2. That's a problem when you see how many "conflicts" we are involved in. If we aren't willing to declare war, we have no business being somewhere. We didn't even declare war after 9/11.
With regard to this, we could afford another war if that is all we were doing. War. This idea of nation building and keeping peace keeping forces in a country when we are done with a war is the problem. We don't fight wars to actually crush the enemy and win the war. It's nonsense. I was never so frustrated than when I took a modern military history class in college.
The United States does not fight conflicts to win them. We go in with this politically correct mindset and end up expanding out military to a global police force.
True, but the trillions of dollars in debt say we can't afford to do anything. The trillions of dollars in debt we have says we are broke so no we cannot afford it

That we police instead of staying home. But if we are going to get involved in a conflict we should actually commit, destroy the enemy, and get out.Is your problem that we don't declare war and destroy countries that didn't attack us? Or, that we police countries instead of staying home?
What in the world does that mean???The influence of those who hold futurist doctrine has been nothing but a monstrous disaster for US policy.
We are not legally at war with them. But you are right, we should have obliterated them right then and there.Actually, we don't need to declare war on Iran, because they started a war with us on November 4, 1979, when they invaded our embassy (legally our territory) and took hostage 52 American diplomats and citizens. As far as I'm concerned we've been at war with them ever since. Jimmy Carter totally wimped out and turned yellow. We should have immediately started bombing Iran.
Those who hold to Revelation already having happened have no basis for that view that has anything to do with reality.

I thought we declared war on terror after 911.A few things to note. We have not actually declared war on ANYONE since World War 2. It’s amazing how quickly everyone wants to keep making the same mistake over and over again. Sure, let’s topple another middle eastern regime. What’s the worst that can happen?

So, we a legal/moral right to nuke Iran any time because they invaded our embassy in 1979? What if someone wants to blow up your house, with your family in it, because in 1972 you cut across their lawn?
Working with pro-Shah forces and, most importantly, the Iranian military, the CIA cajoled, threatened, and bribed its way into influence and helped to organize another coup attempt against Mossadeq. On August 19, 1953, the military, backed by street protests organized and financed by the CIA, overthrew Mossadeq. The Shah quickly returned to take power and, as thanks for the American help, signed over 40 percent of Iran’s oil fields to U.S. companies.
