Should Women wear blue sweaters??

GG, you know we BAPTISTS can't answer such a generalized question. There are many shades of blue. I think this is the breakdown of belief for women wearing blue sweaters:

KJVO IFB: Women cannot wear sweaters of any color. Sweaters cling to the figure and are therefore immodest attire

Traditional SBC: Women can wear light blue or navy sweaters on Sunday evenings and Wednesday nights

Contemporary SBC: Women can wear light blue or navy sweaters on Sunday morning, and any other shade of blue on Sun or Wed night.

GARBC: Women can wear blue sweaters because the sanctuary is kept at 60 degrees and the women are all freezing

American Baptist: Dude, our women wear whatever they want whenever they want. If Mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!

Reformed Baptist: Our women can wear blue sweaters once they have taken a TULIP class and promise to be good Calvinists until the day they die.

General Baptist, Freewill Baptist, and Northern Baptist: We are forming a committee to check into how other churches handle this issue. As soon as we get enough people on the committee, we will investigate and turn in a report.

:applause:

ABC,
But what about women who attend Federated, Union, Community churches that include Baptists and other denominations?

And please don't be afraid about telling us about the churches that split due to blue sweaters and the new denomination they formed.

Blue is my wife's favorite color, and she looks awesome in it, as well as any other color she chooses.

Seriously, I know some homeschoolers when I was a kid that wouldn't let their boys wear red, purple, pink or any other "feminine" color.

But I think a nice pink shirt or tie can be a valuable piece of wardrobe! Oh, and ladies can wear blue.

I have never thought of red or purple as feminine colors

Since blue is my favorite color, I would lose 3/4 of my wardrobe if I couldn't wear it.

My hubby wears pink, lavandar, and yellow and he's a retired Navy Chief. No sissy that!

Women can wear whatever color sweater they want, because the only way a man should wear a sweater is in the case he is an ex hippie type history professor. Or something like that. :tongue3:

You know, 20+ years as a Free Will Baptist, and I can say that I have never been in a church that had a commitee of any sort.

However, I am offended at your statement and will now leave to form a new church

Lilac is my favorite color of sweater...

With a tweed jacket, I look quite quaint.

Bwhahahahahahahahaha!!! Tim, I've seen you with different looks, but quaint you ain't!

'Fess up and admit it. You just wear that lilac sweater to make the blue sweater boys jealous.
