Good question. Illinois is rather split on the issue, except for the area around East St Louis. We get a few newbies down here that want to claim that since the Cubs are an Illinois team, we should all root for them.

I respond by saying "So is the football team at my daughter's high school. They've won one game in two years. Even the cheerleaders don't root for them."

Would that be Judas Iscariot High School?

Nebraska is not split. They get red pickups and red everything else. They are red necks and red heads and bleed red.

No, though Iscariot would make a better mascot than the proud Eagle.

There have been moves to change the school's mascot to a possum, since the team plays dead at home and gets killed on the road.:tonofbricks:

But the important issue is: does the mascot wear a blue sweater?

The question of women wearing blue sweaters is too vague and must be dissected for more detail study. One must take into consideration the shade of blue, the outside temperature, and style of sweater. Is it a cardigan, a turtleneck, a cable-knit, a pullover, short sleeved, or long sleeved?

And the most important question of all: Does it match her shoes?

Women wearing blue sweaters could lead to dancing.

and you know what that leads to....
playing cards at the movie theater in NM.

I say its time to outlaw blue sweaters before its too late

Thanks for bumping this thread.

No! Don't outlaw blue sweaters. That'll force me to have to stand with the folks who want red carpet in the center isle. I ain't going there!

If you outlaw blue sweaters, I won't bring my fresh blueberry cobbler to the covered dish anymore! You'll have to settle for their strawberry cornbread.

I will be willing to compromise - women can come in a blue sweater, but they must sit in the back 4 rows on the left (liberal) side

Salty, your right. I apoligize for getting away from the OP.
Yes, please stay on topic. Of course, the whole point being missed is, did God ordain from eternity past for her to wear a blue sweater, or did she choose to do such? If God did ordain a blue sweater, and she wore green, that would have major implications for
omniscient qualities of the Lord.

If the woman wearing the blue sweater goes to the doctor, and God is omniscient, isn't that a violation of HIPPA law?
