The Biblical Sequence of Events
1. What happened before creation, before the foundation of the world?
2) After creation, Adam sinned and as a consequence the many, everyone "in Adam" were made sinners, Romans 5:19. Thus all mankind is in need of redemption. We are conceived in iniquity, i.e. a spiritually separated from God state, and we are corrupt, by nature children of wrath, Ephesians 2:3.
3) The Word became flesh, lived without sin, taught by word and by deed, and humbled Himself to die for all men on the cross. He became the propitiation or means of salvation for the whole world, 1 John 2:2
4) Whoever believes in Him [as determined by God crediting their faith as righteousness] shall not perish but have eternal life.
1. What happened before creation, before the foundation of the world?
a) God chose His Redeemer, His Lamb of God, for He was foreknown before the foundation of the world, 1 Peter 1:19-20
b) God chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, Ephesians 1:4. This verse does not say whether this election was corporate, i.e. the target group of His redemption plan, or of foreseen individuals not yet created. The idea of being chosen in Him points to a corporate election as a result of Christ being chosen.
c) No names were entered in the Lamb's book of life before the foundation of the world, every name was entered "from" or after or since creation, the foundation of the world.

4) Whoever believes in Him [as determined by God crediting their faith as righteousness] shall not perish but have eternal life.
a) God spiritually places those whose faith He has credited as righteousness, into Christ, thus all given to Christ arrive in Christ and will not be cast out.
b) In Christ we are baptized into His death, undergo the circumcision of Christ where our body of flesh (sin) is removed, and we arise in Christ a new creation, born anew, made perfect, holy and blameless, a spiritual child of God.
c) We are then sealed in Christ with the Holy Spirit forever as a pledge of our bodily resurrection at Christ's second coming. Free at last, Free at Last, thank God Almighty, Free at last.
