OK I just have to ask, I have seen so many threads on this site that slate Barrack Obama. Please excuse my ignorance because I am not American but why do you guys dislike the guy so much? Give me some short,honest and factual answers. I mean you had that morally deficient president...what was his name, oh yes Bill "slick willy Clinton", who abused his power and acted like a sex-crazed, liberal reprobate and you loved him enough to forgive all his indiscretions. Then you had the Lobotomised Leader - El George W. Bush, who couldn't say 5 correct english sentences in a row, sent your sons and daughters to die in a foreign land and was obviously as corrupt as one of our south african civil servants, And yet you didn't chuck him out for all his blundering decisions, And now finally you have the first black president of the united states who has barely had time to exhale after his election and you stick the boot into him at every turn...forgive me guys but I gots to ask...

Irrationality runs rampant in some people. The USA is so polarized politically right now that civil dialogue and discourse are almost impossible. Still, President Obama is the hardest working man to hold the office in decades, and enjoys very high polling numbers with the population at large.

That said, there is a segment of the population who are not just conservative, but reactionary. When the status quo changes, they squeal like little piggies.

FTR, I did not vote for President Obama, and the color of his skin had absolutely nothing to do with this.

I have twice voted for one of the same racial heritage for President, and would have supported Secy. (then Gen. Colin Powell), had he chosen to run for that office. I would support Rep. J. C. Watts, for one example, for that, or any other office, in a heartbeat. I would give strong consideration to supporting Secy. Condolezza Rice for further ofice (although I would not guarantee that particular support without further study, as I do not consider my own personal admiration for personal accomplishment enough reason, in and of itself), and I can easily see, and would have supported Mr. Herman Cain, Secy. Ken Blackwell, Mr. Lynn Swann, and RNC Chairman Michael Steele, in their bids for office, had I lived in any of their states.

I have yet to see any reason to support Sen. Dick Durbin or his former Senate colleagues, now President Barak Obama and Carol Mosley Brown, or apparent incoming Senator Al Franken, or Sen. "Babs" Mikulski for any office, to give a few examples.

In fact, I hope that Sen. "Babs" retires and Lt. Gov. Steele would run for and be elected to that seat.

BTW, you may have correctly surmised I am fairly 'conservative' but still see no reason to bash anyone, particularly on a personal basis. Their political views are another matter, entirely.

I find the playing of "the race card" by anyone to be patronizing, insulting, and beneath contempt, in any event, whatsoever, and by it, I am somewhat annoyed.

Only people with hate in their heart hate the man. I hate what he stands for. I hate his policies, but I don't hate the man.

Reasons for hating his policies are:

1. He promotes abortion.
2. He wants to limit our right to bear arms.
3. He spends too much money.
4. He is for homosexual marriage.
5. He is against school vouchers.
6. His energy plan is wacked.
7. His health care views are wrong.
8. He is a hypocrite on things like the Patriot act (he talked bad about it then voted for it).
9. Immigration policy is wacked.
10. He doesn't choose friends wisely (his pastor, Tony Rezko, and Bill Ayers)
11. He'll put liberal judges on the Supreme Court.
12. Is against privitization of SS.

As a Baptist.. I don't hate him.. I dislike his policies..
If he was a common man next door, I am sure we could be good friends...

But also as a Baptist.. (more importantly a Christian)


I have to stand against:

• Abortion
• Homosexuality
• Sex outside of marriage
• Against Eugenics (his statement that kids are a punishment wreeks of eugenics)
• His liberation theology, which is NOT evangelical theology. Liberation Theology teaches that the way to get rid of sin is to promote social causes.. IOWS.. if we can erase poverty, no one would steal. This theology teaches that salvation comes from imitating Christ on social issues.. and not from Christ's death and resurrection at Calvary. He has been mislead into believing that he is saved based on his works.

As a Christian, it is hypocritical to vote for someone that will promote these ungodly principles when we as Christians are trying to destroy these works of Satan.

As an American, I dislike his policies because they are socialistic in nature.
America has become great because we have always believed that working hard will put you ahead. Competition in a capitalistic market has always been the theme behind our greatness.. NOW he wants to redistribute the wealth to people who doesn't deserve it. Thus punishing the hard workers. He has increased our debt to never before seen levels.. and will take generations to recover. He has fascist policies in which the Government is now owning part of private businesses.. (i.e. Banks, GM, etc.)

NOW.. I disliked Clinton's policies as well... as I did Bush.. especially last yr when he turned fascist with the bailouts.

Short answer: As an American that happens to be a Baptist.. I cannot support a baby murdering, homosexual loving, liberation theologist that also promotes socialism and fascism.

However we should never judge a leader on their public speaking skills since many very smart people are terrible speakers and some very dumb people are wonderful at it. Also, we don't remove presidents for poor leadership/policies. Our constitution lays out a very specific condition for removal and we can't go beyond that. As for President Bush sending our "sons and daughters to die in a foreign land", I can't think of a recent President who has not done that (Obama included).
