Folks, the only way to blame the President for excessive spending would be to enact a Constitutional Amendment giving the President the "line item veto." The Congress enacted the line item veto, but the Dems were successful in having it declared unconstitutional. A line item veto is not the same as a veto of an entire bill. With a line item veto, the waste can be stripped out of the bill, and the rest approved.

What caused the need for restorative spending, the prior administration of the godless left, or the biological attack from China or both?

Once again, the big spenders on waste, the Dems, point their finger anywhere and everywhere except at t themselves.

False. The president can veto any bill, as President Grover Cleveland did - 414 times in his first term in office.

Van, you would do well to read this article - "Grover Cleveland: The Veto President" folsom0404.pdf (fee-misc.s3.amazonaws.com)

As Gene Healy, in an article in 2010 when the national debt was WAY smaller than it is today, accurately described the idea of the line item veto, it would be a "mere bandage on the body politics' sucking chest wound." (Line-Item Veto Is No Quick-Fix | Cato Institute)

Did you see the smokescreed concerning the Line Item Veto? States do not have a unbalanced budge. They line out the excess and provide revenue, tax or bond, for what they think needed. In California that includes the "Train to Nowhere." The Dems never met a wasteful project they did not like. :)

The cumulative impact of the COLA increases since the Dems set off another inflation bomb has not kept up with the cumulative increase in the cost of living for middle and less income individuals and their families. We are not better off with Bribe-O-Nomics, our standard of living is being shoved down the drain of wokeness.

The United States desperately needs to ditch the current Fiat monetary system and install a gold standard monetary system.
