Some Liberty University Grads Are Returning Their Diplomas To Protest Trump

No, but I am smart enough to know that a man does not build a fortune in excess of 10 billion dollars by being a "poor money manager." Duh!

An expert in economics? The President earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Wharton Business, the top rated business school in the country. Duh, again!
TC, Donald didn't build it. His dad built it. Donald has actually done a poor job of managing his assets. He should be much more wealthy if he had a clue.

When Fred Trump died he left a quarter billion dollar estate ($250,000,000). That estate was divided between his wife Mary Anne, and his children, sons Robert and Donald, and daughters Maryanne and Elizabeth. (Fred Jr. died in 1984.)

Each received about $35 million, after taxes.

But President Trump was in business long before his father died in 1999.

Fred gifted Donald with $1 million upon his graduation from college (as he did with all his children) which he used to start his own businesses. He was already a multi-millionaire when his father died, and had taken over the family businesses before his mother died in 2000 (his dad had been suffering from Alzheimer's disease for the past several years before his death).

And he turned that into over $10 billion. So much for "poor money management!" LOL!

When he said, "There are good people" meaning Nazis. There are no good Nazis. Nazis are white supremacist in philosophy. You do realize that Trump believes in eugenics, don't you?

He grew up with a white supremacist father who was arrested at a KKK riot in New York in 1927.

Trump and his father were sued for systematically discriminating against black people in housing rentals. Trump and his father settled on government terms.
NO! Trump meant that there were some people in the group who were protesting the statue being removed who were NOT Nazi, but just wanted to preserve southern history!

That was not his words. I do not believe he meant that at all, not after his Saturday statement.

Falwell can make a political statement. So what?

Was Liberty making a political statement when they invited Ted Kennedy? No. What about Beck, or any of the others? No. If course not.

When a person is the president of a university, seminary, college, etc. everything they say and do in public reflects on that institution. Falwell's support of Trump is a negative reflection on that university. Whether this is fair or not does not matter. What matters is everything Falwell does reflects on Liberty.

Obviously some do feel that way. Obviously others do not. Either way, the election has been over for some time now. This makes it sound more like liberal propaganda....fanning fake flames, if you will...more than anything else.

Now don't get me wrong, while I will support my President (as I did under the Obama administration) I do not like Donald Trump nor do I think he has the character that is needed to lead a nation. When he was elected I told my wife I thought this a bad move, not because of anything the Trump administration would do but because the liberals will use the controversial nature of Donald Trump against the nation itself and rebuild in the rubble. This is what we see here. And I think in the end it will damage the GOP and gain support for the Democrat party. But I also see this as a judgment on our nation as the Democrat Party is such a sharp decline. Democrat - Republican, two sides of the same coin.

Ultimately the OP involves four people groups - 1. Liberty University students; 2. Liberty University faculty; 3. Liberty University alumni (particularly those who still give to the university); and 4. people who support Liberty University.

I wonder how many who argue against them having a president who endorsed Donald Trump, or who argued against the university inviting the President of the United States to speak to its graduates, even have a dog in the fight. IMHO, this is where discussion turns to gossip...which is one of the churches biggest sins, it seems.

Most just want everything to cater to their politics and pout when someone doesn't.

BTW, President Obama and senator Clinton would have been valid speakers as well (although I detest their politics).

Which is interesting, as to be consistent, should not both of them been treated as trump?

From the OP: A small but growing number of Liberty University graduates are preparing to return diplomas to their school.

And how many will omit their degrees on their resumes on principle?
