Some on here stated I am hedging my bets being both Catholic and Baptist. That is false. I only trust in Jesus alone for salvation.

If you would please, I would like to ask you this, "If you were to explain to someone how to know Jesus as Savior and be sure of eternal life now and Heaven upon one's death, what would you explain?" Thanks.

When I tell individuals on discussion forums how to receive salvation I tell them that they have to embrace Jesus as their Lord and Savior and place their trust in Jesus alone for salvation.

What do you explain as to how to embrase Jesus as Lord and Savior? And in Jesus alone, how would you distinguish Jesus as to who He is we are to trust? Again, in these things, how does one know for sure of eternal life and going to Heaven when one dies? Again, thanks.

I tell individuals on discussion forums that they have to embrace Jesus as God, Messiah and Lord and Savior by praying to Him and ask Him to become their Lord and Savior. And that they have to place their trust entirely in Jesus alone for salvation. Then they have assurance that they will go to Heaven when they pass away. That is what my Baptist Pastor and my Baptist Church teach as to how salvation is received.
You need not ask John - just accept it and believe. The invitation is open to ALL.The eternal life command from heaven is not "ask" but "come".
Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
The Spirit of God will then take up residence in you and teach you to love and obey.
1 John 3:24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

Impossible to be both, unless one is a Jesuit.
But what do you say when you see someone fact to face
Well, quit going to the Catholic church and participating in its works based salvation.
And how does that salvation come to you?
"Being" Catholic does not make you a Child of God.
"Being" Baptist does not make you a Child of God.
"Being" both does not make you a Child of God.
Being born-again through the power of the Holy Spirit is the only way to become a Child of God.
Jhn 3:7 KJV - Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
I agree with the last part.
No one, however, can really be both Catholic and Baptist as these are competing theology (every baptist distinctive stands in opposition not only to Catholicism but also to other Reformed churches....hense the term "Baptist distinctive").
Catholic doctrine also, by definition, stands in opposition to Baptist theology.
So you may hold a hybrid faith (in terms of doctrine), and may attend and/or be members of both churches....but you would be neither Baptist or Catholic.
Doesn't matter as "Christian" is the name that matters most.
I have been both but not simultaneously. Catholicism is sacramental PLUS works (and there is allot more there involving tradition, church dogma, Marian worship, priestly class etc. Baptists are definitely not any of that.
After my personal revelation of Jesus Christ It took me 2 years to leave the Church of Rome.
When I had worked my way "up" into Jesuit training and influence I saw the RCC clearly for what she was/is.
Why didn't God give me that revelation immediately after being enlightened?
Because that knowledge God desires to come by way of experience and personal choice of accountability.

18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

I am a Baptized Catholic who attends the local Catholic parish on Saturday Vigil Mass and am on the membership roll of the local Catholic parish. I am also a Baptized Baptist who attends the local Baptist Church every Sunday morning and I am on the membership roll of that Baptist Church. So I am both Catholic and Baptist.

I don't share the Gospel of salvation face to face. I only do it on discussion forums. Why would I want to do it face to face?
Yeah, I know as we have been through this before. You believe in the Baptist idea that the Holy Eucharist is just a "symbol", so if you take communion at the Catholic Mass you are acting in a false manner, you are receiving the Holy Eucharist illicitly and that is a sinful act. Attending Mass is one thing, but participating in the most holy sacrament of Communion is another if you reject the Catholic teaching on it.
As I said before, you cannot be both.
