I believe that this is a harbinger of things to come. A few month back two Army recruiters were shot by a convert to Islam. People in this country simply don't understand the Islamic mind and religion.
If it's true this should have grave implacations as to who we allow to serve in our military.
The question is: Should we expect Muslims to act differently than this man did?
We should expect all people to not commit murder, regardless of his/her religion adherence or lack thereof. And when anyone does commit murder he/she should be prosecuted for it.
The question is: Should we expect Muslims to act differently than this man did?
We can't expect the unsaved to act like the saved.
You can't follow the devil and follow Christ at the same time.
This is just the beginning of the kinds of things that will happen unless people wake up, especially the church.
What is it going to take for America to see this?
Since most people, including in the United States are not Christians, are you saying we should expect this kind of action by most people?
What should be our response - as Christians and also as a nation? What should we do?
I'm neighbors with a Muslim family. One of the sons recently returned home from a tour of duty in Afghanistan, where he served and served proudly. Why should great Americans like my neighbor be denied service? Didn't we learn any lessons after interning Japanese Americans in WWII? There are currently approx 20,000 Muslim Americans on active duty in our Armed Forces. Let them continue to serve proudly as they have done up to now.The question is: Should we expect Muslims to act differently than this man did?
Of course! I'm simply saying we don't need to categorically deny service to those who enlist just because they're Muslim.I agree John, but you would surely agree that if your neighbor's sons started making statements that praised Islamic suicide bombers.. and start condemning US soldiers a little red flag should go up.
I agree, but I think we should reserve judgement and let the military investigate. We shouldn't presume negligence this early after the incident. This guy should have been investigated and dealt with before this started, especially since the authorities had seen his blog posts.
