Last Saturday I was wondering how I was going to make it through the summer, things were soooo hot (70 degrees)!

Two inches of snow fell yesterday. Just about a total flower kill for the Magnolia trees in the area

Yes, I know Deacon. That frost got my plum tree. I am aggravated about that. It was so pretty and the red leaves were really coming out. Then Boom the tornado and the freeze just did her in. I know there is no hope for the little tree now. Poor thing. Its gone.

Well the clouds are here. And you can see the snow in them. I wonder how long this spring snow will be. Also I broke down and I did turn the heater back on about a hour ago.

I also saw the dogwood tree blooming around town, and the mock cherries, too bad its cold. I hope the flowers will make it.

God Bless
Always

Ok lets all get our minds off the cold....

Ok well...hope you can get some ideas. Especially poor Diane. She is stuck with clay dirt.

Oh...I hope this weather does not hurt my Hosta's. They are really tall this year already.

Sherrie!!

Did you join the Marines?? You seem to have a problem hangin' on to your hair!! It seems that all the other times I have helped Gina and company out--ordering them large doses of Placebo and brown paper bags--see, I know what their problem is--HA! HA! But yours?? Only Camp LeJeune, North Caroline knows for sure!!

Your Southern Baptist preachin, hair cuttin' buddy!

How warm is it there Thankful?
Today it reached up to 59. The rest of the week the temperatures should stay between 43 and 55 as daytime highs, and just around 38 at night as the low. We expect some rain later on in the week around Friday, but not much. Most of our days are Sunny.

Hey, I noticed that I am slowly closing in on 500 posts. Not bad for someone who just planned on reading other people's posts. Of course 90% of them are either here or in the Sports Forum.
I am trying to decide if I feel comfortable enough to use a picture of me on my posts to celebrate. Those of you who do have your picture displayed on your posts, are you still comfortable with it? I know some people on the board have removed theirs after a while. It feels a little more personal talking to someone when you can see their face. I am considering it.

Use your picture Rod! We need a new picture to throw darts at!
hehehehehehehehe!

No seriously....this is a nice looking young man. I saw his picture. Use your picture Rod.

I feel fine using mine. I like looking at peoples pictures. Course I love scrapbooks and albums...they don't even have to be mine.

Use your picture Rod! Do it! Go Rod...Go Rod...Go Rod! ;)

I hope you print it out first. I would hate to see you have to buy a new monitor.

48 here in central Oklahoma
at the warmest part of the day.
A little cool for here, maybe 70s
by the week end. We who live by
the CANADIAN river call this Canadian
Spring

Sherrie: "Ok lets all get our minds off the cold...."

No, thank you. There is enough heat
in some other topics
we needn't add
it here.

Jonmagee was on the radio today. I wonder how that went. I tried to find it, but I couldn't. I am no good at finding internet radio stations. Once someone shows me, then I pick it up really good.

Well if he is reading....I hope it went great!

How much time do you spend on the BaptistBoard?

Since I am not moderating, I have read everything in about a minute, then I twiddle my thumbs. I've got to get more productive, so I won't be around so much. Take care folks..Be good to one another.

Cheerio,

Jim

5 to 10 minutes maybe three or 4 times a day. Sometimes 1 hour in morning, and 1 hour at night.

I, like you, have my favorite spots. I avoid the heated areas. So that only leaves this and the prayer forum left. Sometimes I go to the jokes.

I'm taking things so serious that i miss
out even when Thankful said a funny :(

How many Baptists does it take to change
a light bulb?

Depends.
Baptists just raise one hand at a time
so they won't be considered charismatic.
Incandescent bulb: one Baptist
Florescent bulb: two Baptists

Ohhhhhh....we are about due for a new thread again.

So in my town everyone goes to the coffee shop to hear the town scoop. A restaurant with the greasy spoon touch. All the farmers...lawyers...Dr.s...preachers...everyone stays a float of the day. Good or bad...everybody knows it by time the sun goes down.

People talk about everything. From farming to weather. The local News...to just sheer stupidity. But everyone shows up same time everyday. Except if it rains. When it rains...man they are packed.

They raised the coffee up to 85 cents, but the refills keep coming.

So I thought we could call the thread the "Coffee Shop", that way the thread would always be the "Coffee Shop". Even when it had to die out, we would just pick up where the other left off.

So look for the "Coffee Shop"...coming to a thread near you.

Yes?
