Starbucks customer says she was bullied for supporting Trump

CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX 46) - On a day when lawmakers from both sides of the aisle in Washington are asking Americans to unite, a loyal Starbucks customer says she was targeted for supporting Donald Trump. Starbucks said they are making sure this incident won't happen again.

"I don't know what politics has to do with getting a cup of coffee," Kayla Hart said.


Hart walked in to Starbucks on East Boulevard in Dilworth on Wednesday morning, wearing a Donald Trump t-shirt. Instead of being greeted with a smile, Kayla said the cashier laughed and her order was labeled with a political message, mocking her support for the president.

I boycott Starbucks anyway. One more reason to maintain the boycott.

I don't think that is reflective of Starbucks as a company but instead it was the individual workers. I am sure that the customer will get a good sized gift card, an apology and the employees will need to have some additional training. Starbucks isn't necessarily evil. I don't go there a lot but sometimes I do enjoy my free beverages that I get with gift cards that I earn from Bing Rewards. :)

I'd kinda like to visit a few Starbucks in a Trump shirt to see what happens. But I don't even like their coffee.

OTOH I would take great pleasure in pouring the coffee out all over the counter if they insulted me. I'd even pay double for the privilege.:Biggrin

It is funny how Trumpies call other people "snowflakes" but if they are ever slighted in the least possible way they have a cow.

A coffee shop employee chuckling at your tee-shirt and saying "Build a Wall" is SOOOO egregious of an offense that the complainer goes to the media with the story. She was "targeted", "humiliated", and "bullied".

"I don't think it's right you should be humiliated for wearing a t-shirt with your opinion on it," [the customer] said.
