SOTL has stood on the KJB since I have known of them. Some SWOTL members are only KJB preferred.tinytim said:Is KJVOism the official stand now of the Sword of the Lord on the doctrine of the Bible?
I guess I am asking this:
Is the SOTL sponsoring the event, or did they just accept advertising from the event?
If they do not support the event, but only took advertising, then they should not be looked upon as KJVO. Just because a media publication advertises something, doesn't mean it supports it.
But if they support KJVOism, then the readership that doesn't should let them know. And if they refuse to change, then cancel subscriptions.
Of course having seen the IFB trend over the last 10 yrs here in the states, Their subscription rates will soar if they come out completely KJVO.
I wish there was a way to poll IFBers.. because I suppose that most modern IFBers are KJVO. That is the image anyway. Of course images can be deceiving.
Your threat to cancel subscriptions is totally fruitless. Their paper is free to all who wish to obtain a copy.
Though I am not a SOTL member, I do read their publication occasionally and have never read anything compromising or that would normally be deemed liberal.
My advise to you? Cancel, otherwise you might be upset at the truth.
