I'll start.
I live in Knoxville TN, home of the Volunteers. It's a medium size city in the shadow of the Great Smoky Mountains (which provides awesome sunrise views). As far as cultural activities we are kind of lacking but the zoo here is wonderful- Jack Hannah use to be director- and there is a lot of lakes for the summer. If you ever heard of the sunsphere, it's here in Knoxville. It's a nice place to live and raise a family.

Well, I have travelled to many cities in the world and I currently live in/right near Honolulu, HI.
A beautiful and historic city, we live right near Pearl Harbor and my little girl goes to school right beside Pearl Harbor. It has alot of other history, of course a lot of pagan stuff too. The culture is unbelievable here, truly everything and everyone imaginable. Even our church this past Sunday had Rainbow Sunday and had a total of 24 nationalities present. That is something you don't find too often in an IFB church. The beaches are nice, some are nicer than others, but the mountains are some of the prettiest I have ever laid eyes on. I do look forward to heading back to the mainland for my next duty assignment later on this sumemr.

We live in Villa Rica, Ga. and have for 5 1/2 years. Villa Rica means City of Gold and our city sits on the largest remaining gold vein in the U.S. The gold is so spread out that it's not cost effective to mine.
We are actually in the county but Villa Rica is an old town with a tiny downtown that has railroad tracks running right through the middle. We're 24 miles to the Ala. line and about 35 miles to Atlanta.
We have WAY more churches than restaurants, gas stations and conv. stores put together. Most are Baptist of some sort.
The school system here is one of the worst in Georgia and Georgia is one of the worst in the U.S. A large number of our residents do not even have a GED and many cannot read and write.
The per person income is very low and teen pregnancies and divorce statistics are off the charts HIGH. Drug use is also quite common among the poor. 'Meth labs' are found every week.
We have no movie, no bowling alley, no skating rink, no mall and crime is generally petty theft and drug related.
There's nothing to 'see' here but we are the birth place of a famous gospel song writer, Tommy Dorsey (not the big band dude).

An estimated 500 to 700 singers are expected this weekend when Villa Rica hosts the annual Southeast Regional Gospel Choir and Choruses Conference.
The Thomas Dorsey Birthplace Choir of Villa Rica will host the conference at Mt. Prospect Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Villa Rica today and Saturday.

First settled about before the 4th century. St Patrick preached here with only limited success.
After several burnings the modern town began in the late 12th century with the building of John's castle.
There are two Irish names
The offical name according to the national government is An Nas meaning "meeting place."
According to the local authority the name is Nas Na Riogh meaning "meeting place of the kings."
For a time this was the fastest growing town in Europe. The population today is about 20,000 and Naas is the county town (county seat) for County Kildare. We are about 30km SW of Dublin City.

"Settler Erastus Ingersoll founded the hamlet of Delta Mills in the 1830s. It was mapped out in 1841 as Grand River City. He hoped to build a theological seminary there. It didn't happen. He also hoped legislators, considering moving the state's capital out of Detroit, would choose his town. That didn't happen either. Lansing became the seat of state government in 1847. Today, Delta Mills is a charming wide spot on scenic Delta River Drive. Its 19th-century buildings are surrounded by new subdivisions. Its school is now a day care center, its other commercial buildings closed."
I live at the northern edge of Delta Mills about 1/2 mi north of the Grand River. It is a charming, rural feel, but only about 8 minutes or less from malls and grocery stores. We are about 15 minutes away from downtown Lansing. My daughter attended the day care mentioned in the article above.

I live outside the town of Winnsboro in a little place called Liddieville...not much goes on here. Winnsboro is one of the most patriotic towns in America aka "Stars and Stripes Capital of Louisiana", flying over 350 flags along Hwy 15, now designated "Veteran's Memorial Highway". Catfish and cotton are the big industries.

Humphrey, AR, has a population of 806. Most of the city limits lie in Arkansas County, but the border with Jefferson County runs through the western end of the city limits. My mailing address is Humphrey, but I live 7 miles from the center of town outside the city limits. Humphrey is also where I work as a math/Spanish teacher at the high school there. I do wish, though, that Humphrey would have some businesses with names like Exxon and Walmart.

Situated at the bottom of Cayuga Lake in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate NY. Home to Cornell University (where I'm a student) and Ithaca College.
It's also very very cold here for most of the year. As I write this, the temperature is -13 F.

Andrew Jackson's army (infantry) camped right where my house sits on their way to New Orleans. Also the old federal highway ran thru this very spot and was 6 horses wide.
This place was also settled by (most likely) Choctaw Indians, and we have found many pottery shards and arrowheads.
Now as for the town, its very tiny - not even a stop light anywhere, but we do have a 4 way stop.
