No I don't have a problem making comparisons between them. We went over that before. Propaganda techniques to win over the people, etc. etc. etc.

Would you like it if I said conservatism is a disease which causes people to think only of themselves while leaving other poor souls to die cuz they "couldn't cut it"? One which causes people to support a war at the same time making the excuse..."well...if they call me I'll go..."?
</font>
Say what you want. No problem. I only wish your side, the liberals, would go on national tv and say this at least once or twice a week in prime time interviews. It only makes my point even clearer to most Americans that and.... not to run our country. Although, your idea reminds me more of the isolationists on the far right and on the.. left who would love to see us leave Iraq prematurely as we did in Vietnam and Gulf War 1 so that those who are left behind could be slaughtered again by the ruthless terrorists, just like what happened in Cambodia and in Iraq. And yes, if the Military decides they need me, I will go, which is more than what can be said for the liberal cowards who ran for Canada during Vietnam. However, right now, the military leaders don't think they need more troops. They know what they are talking about and I trust their judgement over yours. Therefore, I will continue serving my country by raising a conservative son in a Christian Church, and by teaching the kids of many of the military folks who are away in Bagdad. We can all serve in different ways. For right now, not everyone has to go to Iraq. If that changes, I will go so that my son doesn't have to.

Yes, you can trust their judgement over mine. You have the right to be wrong.

I don't want you to leave prematurely. I want you to win the fight instead of talking about winning the fight. I want you to "fight terrorism" all over the world and not just where it is convenient for you.

Raise a conservative son all you want. He may stay one, he may turn. When I have a son, I will raise a CHRISTIAN...one who believes what the Bible teaches...not some political party line. And maybe I'll teach him to take the good from EACH party  (imagine that) and live like Jesus would have him to.

And some conservatives are redneck racists with white hoods who believe a dude named Adolph was a smart guy that everyone just didn't understand...

You really need to go back and read all the posts. I was very interested in the views here of my original question, but within a couple of post my church was atacked and over and over again homosexuality was trying to be drawn into the discussion, way off topic IMHO. Then add in all the "mental disorder" remarks then yes, I question your understanding what it means to be a Christian. If you can stay on topic, we could have a fruitful discussion.

Delivered,

Are you ashamed of your views about Homosexuality? Why don't you tell us what you think about this issue?

Joe, why do you insist on going off topic? I asked a question in my initial post and I can say without a bit of guilt, it is a question that I haven't been able to put to rest, and I posted here to see what others thought. I know the policy of this board is to ban anyone espousing homosexual views and it seems obvious to me that you are trying to bait me into doing that so I get banned. I guess the real answer here is that you have no good answer to my original question which is if you forgot.
If terrorists murder innocent people, then why has the USA murdered more innocent people than the terrorists. So far your answers haven't been too creative so I understand your frustration and even forgive you for your attempts for trying to get me banned.

I dont believe you are at all interested in 'fruitful discussions'. I have read all of the posts and that is how I arrived at my opinions.

Lets lay it out barney style for you:
1. You think or were told by someone that the US military is commencing with terroristic acts.
2. You were told you have a slim to none view on the real answer to that and were told by first hand account how that was not true.
3. You started talking about homosexuality and panties on prisoners heads.
4. You engaged in what you felt was witty banter about women in this world.
5. None of your comments or opinions were grounded in real world perspective nor steeped in scripture.
6. And you expect to be taken seriously.

So sit back in Texas and continue to comment on things you have zero idea about. Let someone else feed you a daily diet of propaganda and you should excuse me while I go on with my life. And for the record, my 'understanding of Christian life' is between me and God. You get no say so in it. Thanks.

#1 I asked if terrorists murder innocent civilians then why have we, the USA murdered more innocent civilians?

#2 First hand account? Is that you? So are you saying that terrorists have murdered more civilains than the USA? Do you have a link to that info? It contradicts most statistics I have seen.

#3 Not true. I never mentioned homosexuality, you and Joe seemed obsessed with that off topic.

#4 Guilty as charged

#5 Well thats an opinion and I do welcome your thoughts.

#6 Not often but my original post was very serious.

Still haven't gotten a senseable answer with all the attempts at going off topic.

Cite YOUR source. I never heard a body count of anybody BUT American troops. Kind of have your eye on the way wrong ballgame there paco.
#2 First hand account? Is that you? So are you saying that terrorists have murdered more civilains than the USA? Do you have a link to that info? It contradicts most statistics I have seen.
Yes, That is ME. Yes I am saying that I saw more dead insurgents than anything else. Unless you want to count animals. Same species it appears. YOU never supplied your stats, so whatever. And NO I DONT HAVE A LINK. I saw it with my own eyes.
#3 Not true. I never mentioned homosexuality, you and Joe seemed obsessed with that off topic.
Um not me pal. You were the one who brought it up. I dont even care to discuss matters as such.

#4 Guilty as charged

#5 Well thats an opinion and I do welcome your thoughts.
Opinion? More like an astute observation. My thoughts are this: You dont care really, you just want to play games on this discussion board. We call that a troll on other boards.

#6 Not often but my original post was very serious.

Yes, I could tell the seriousness when you pandered to the liberal cause (i.e., LOL, panties on the head, blah blah blah)

Still haven't gotten a senseable answer with all the attempts at going off topic. [/QB]
You have received the answer to your original question, many times. The United States is not a terrorist organization. Those that die at the hands of US troops were shooting at us first. Get used to being wrong on this topic. Unless of course, you just accepted a position with the UN. Then you can make statements all day long and nobody checks your answers. [IMG]

Funny always an attack the messenger, LOL
It is really very simple, pay attention. Terrorists kill innocent people. We, the USA in Iraq have killed more innocent people that the terrorists. So what does that make us? Add in past mistakes like Vietnam the innocent people the USA has murdered reaches into the Millions of people. What does that makes us? Now do you understand why you only see America deaths counted??
If you are an astute observer, how is it you are so blind to the innocent murdered by the USA? The time to hide you head in the sand of honor is long gone. It is time to stare the beast in the face and it looks like us. You want to stop terrorism, start at home.
And lets put this off topic silliness to rest once and for all. The first mention of homosexual was on page two by Joseph Botwinick. I don't expect you to apologise, that would require humility.

Since youve done nothing to prove your 'innocent people killed by Americans' remark - it doesnt make *us* anything. It makes us a country that defends itself, and futhermore gives you the right to sit and criticize as well as make your inane and seriously uneducated comments under the guise of being a Christian. All while tapping away on the internet - at your own free will. Not impressed.

Wasnt old enough for Vietnam, my father is, and he has a lot to say. Maybe I will forward your comments to him and see what he says. I bet it wont be terribly Christian-like however, this is a sore spot for him when people make sweeping comments without actually having been there.

No I dont see why only American deaths are counted. I dont appreciate hearing the body count, for each and every human soul who perished fighting or just by being there in the wrong place, wrong time, is an individual - with a family and friends who loves them and they had a life. They made their mark on this world. Yours will be quibbling about body counts? Talk about hiding your head in the sand. (Sand of honor? whatever).

Very Christian of you to forget these are people we are talking about - neighbors, relatives, friends, fellow Americans. But that is typical if anything of those who just are interested in body counts - either side. Like a pack of hyenas I always say. Talk about beasts.

If you are an astute observer or even if you are just terribly interested in this - then hop a plane and go to Iraq. Witness to the many there who are looking for peace. They are all still alive - unlike the number of unmarked graves full of bonefide innocent people we found - that did not die at our hands.

Stop terrorism...start at home? Why how PROFOUND. So we should stop car bombing Los Angeles? No more blowing up trains? Stop filling our subways with sarin gas? Tell everyone in the neighborhood that bombs in a backpack strapped to their back that they cant do that anymore?

The beast doesnt look like 'us'. ***edit by blackbird***

Delivered,

I'm not one to bash Muslims, but when you call them innocent civiliians, I have to admit that I am not sure how innocent the civillians are.

They have done little or nothing to stop the terrorists, they treat the terroists like heros, they hide them from authorities, they cheer them in the streets. Some of them willingly send their child off to camps to become terrorists.

Joseph is right - we have not killed as many civillians as the terrorists and Saddam did. Even with bombs that go wrong.

We did not just wake up one morning and decide to try to murder tens of thousands of people by attacking Afghanistan. The followers of Bin Laden did, however, wake up decide to try to kill as many innocent, non-military-Americans as they could. God protected a LOT of people that day, and only 3,000 died, but normally, the world trade center would have held over 10,000 people. Who knows how many would have died had that 3rd plane hit its target?

We did not just wake up one morning and decide to attack Iraq. Saddam had attacked neighboring nations many times, including Kuwait. When he invaded Kuwait, they begged us to help. We did. We also allowed the citizens of Iraq to go on with life without becoming some kind of conquered puppet regime, but they refused to comply with the UN sanctions that allowed us to confirm that they were not, once again, trying to invade a neighbor. During that "time of peace" Saddam used biochemical weapons on his own people.

Now, we've "won" a war, and yet, terrorists are STILL blowing people up. Instead of pointing fingers at their own world, a world that teaches their children human life means nothing - they point it at the peace-keepers.

Look at recent attacks and speak to me of "innocents."
Were the people of Spain and London provoking that kind of behavior?

One additional thought.

When World War II was in the "beginning" stages - many, many nations, European and non-European, took the, "It isn't our business," stance. Slowly but surely, nation after nation fell.

When MILLIONS of people were vanishing off the face of the earth, the world looked the other way. It "wasn't their problem," it "didn't concern them," etc.

Ignoring the plague doesn't make the plague go away.

I know that today is rather popular to say that the President of the US "let Pearl Harbor happen so we would have to join the war." Without stopping to ask, "Why are you blaming HIM for Japan's attack??" He didn't PLAN the attack. He didn't "encourage" the attack.

We looked the other way time after time after time:

Kidnapping of Embassy Official, March 16, 1984: The Islamic Jihad kidnapped and later murdered Political Officer William Buckley in Beirut, Lebanon. Other U.S. citizens not connected to the U.S. government were seized over a succeeding two-year period.

Saddam Hussein’s dictatorship provided headquarters, operating bases, training camps, and other support to terrorist groups fighting the governments of neighboring Turkey and Iran, as well as to hard-line Palestinian groups. During the 1991 Gulf War, Saddam commissioned several failed terrorist attacks on U.S. facilities.

Saddam has aided the Iranian dissident group Mujahedeen-e-Khalq and the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (known by its Turkish initials, PKK), a separatist group fighting the Turkish government.

Iraq has hosted several Palestinian splinter groups that oppose peace with Israel, including the mercenary Abu Nidal Organization, whose leader, Abu Nidal, was found dead in Baghdad in August 2002.

Iraq has also supported the Islamist Hamas movement and reportedly channeled money to the families of Palestinian suicide bombers.

Has Iraq ever used weapons of mass destruction?
Yes. In the 1980s Iran-Iraq War, Iraqi troops repeatedly used poison gas, including mustard gas and the nerve agent sarin, against Iranian soldiers.

Iranian officials also accuse Iraq of dropping mustard-gas bombs on Iranian villages. Human Rights Watch reports that Iraq frequently used nerve agents and mustard gas against Iraqi Kurds living in the country’s north. In March 1988, Saddam’s forces reportedly killed thousands of Iraqi Kurds in the town of Halabja with chemical weapons.

Innocent?
