Gotta admit, it's tempting to look for a state that believes in the liberal why-can't-we-all-just-get-along, appeasement, disarmament, group hug mindset--and attack em!

I've joined the Realm of Believers where Pete's country is a member.
I searched the list of regions when first got in there and "Realm of Believers" seemed the most suitable. Although the way we are going we might have to get a BB region

The forums there are..."anything goes" comes to mind. Nothing a night shift cabbie hasn't seen, but wouldn't recommend it to everyone...

I had a bit of a problem because my computer was locked up so tight I wasn't sending out any information: think I have that solved now.

I put y'all in my dossier for quick reference.

My "Capitalist Paradise" will probably change soon after some recent decisions.

I'm not so sure about this UN thing, ..."all member nations must abide by UN rules."
Resolution: #12
"We ... resolve that gay marriages be protected and endorsed by law in the member nations."

BTW, when will this be moved to the GAME forum? :D

Just had a Book Publishing union vs employers issue.

Wish there would have been an option there to have secret police call in leaders of both sides for a wrist-slapping. I wasn't impressed with either side's attitude, but eventually decided the union's 20% pay rise over 2 years demand might not cause quite as much mess as the employers wanting me "to relax industrial laws and allow us to fire troublemakers on the spot."

I'm still listed as "Authoritarian Democracy", but oh well, there are worse things to be called ;)

Anybody looking for a region to join let me know. I like the one I joined. Seem like decent folks and I am trying to help recruit.

It is not a Christian or a believer region.

I think I'll adopt the U.S. Constitutional view on that, that the UN Charter doesn't have force of law until adopted by implementing legislation.

Like Clinton Executive Order 13107? Then there is the U.S. convention of Mayors. They endorse the UN Earth Charter.

<img src =/2844.JPG>
Which includes under Sec. 6 of that EO:

This order does not supersede Federal statutes and does not impose any justiciable obligations on the executive branch.
which includes the Defense of Marriage Act,
and

The term "treaty obligations" shall mean treaty obligations as approved by the Senate pursuant to Article II, section 2, clause 2 of the United States Constitution.

Deacon,

I guess I'll have to re-think my UN membership since membership includes obeying the resolutions, contrary to my Constitution.

C4K,

What region are you in? Advantages of joining? I am looking for a like-minded (mine is defined as a Right-Wing Utopia, but am open to similar regime types) region. It turns out there are very few Right Wing Utopias.

poncho,

I'm not trying to ignore you, it's just that this thread is not about any particular real-world international agreements. 'Sorry.
