Which edition of the Kjv would be the perfect translation then? Would have to be just the 1611 by the KJVO logic! So when people say "We only believe in the 1611 King James Version........"
I wonder if they really know what they are saying......

Most people who say they read the King James read the 1789, not the 1611.
Whats wrong with reading a Bible printed in 1611 or even earlier? Try it, you might like it!
Not my preferred version, but much better to read say the Niv and have understanding then read the 1611 and not know what it means!Because most people won't be able to understand the language of the 1611 KJV
Both my sons had to read Hamlet in elizabethen prose!I had to read The Canterbury Tales with the Middle English spelling and vocabulary in my British Masterpieces class.
Now there was a challenge.
Nothing is wrong with it. It's just that so many who claim the 1611 are probably not reading it. It's readable, but difficult in certain passages to me.Whats wrong with reading a Bible printed in 1611 or even earlier? Try it, you might like it!
that's why God caused MVs to be made, same as He did the AV 1611 for the British of that time who read everything else in much the came English and font.Nothing is wrong with it. I like a clear, clear read.
The Lord desires that His word get out and be read and applied to as many as can read!So why would he not want His word clear, using modern vocabulary and phrasing?that's why God caused MVs to be made, same as He did the AV 1611 for the British of that time who read everything else in much the came English and font.
My Hendrickson repro copy is in Roman font, but otherwise word-for-word.
Yet another "let-me-soothe-my-guilty-conscience-by-educating-the-KJVO-neanderthals-about-the-mistakes-in-their-Bible" thread.
Exactly!that's why God caused MVs to be made, same as He did the AV 1611 for the British of that time who read everything else in much the came English and font.
