The arrogance of the false teachers

Since September I have sent out more than 50 letters to random false teachers ranging from the Cults, Catholics, New Agers, to Gay/Homosexual churches. Unfortunately I only received about 5 responses, however I had some deep and long conversations with a certain Universalist minister, and some Catholics.

I developed a new strategy based on an idea I got from a The Way of the Master radio podcast. So instead of sending snail mail letters with tracts why not send them emails and ask them questions instead of preaching at them? So I sent out about 12 email to again random false churches in the Denver metro area with this question.

I have a question for you. Is the Bible the word of God? Why or why not?

Unfortunately I got no responses, but I did have a dialogue with an Emergent pastor from a Oregon church when I was on vacation there about a month ago and he did not back away from answering questions from me. So my question.

Do you have any other questions I could pose on the false pastors? On a The Way of the Master radio podcast the caller said that he sent an email to a church and asked how he could get saved, and this resulted in a dialogue with the pastor and an opportunely to proclaim the truth over error and also evangelize the false pastor. Thanks..

Personally, unless I know the person sending the mail, I don't read it or respond. Especially if I have the sense that the person is trying to pose some argumentative questions. It's not really arrogance, I just get so many emails. that I am not going to spend time answering what I think are not so honest questions.

Then why post your address and email publicly then would be my question to the false teachers? If they do not like to hear from people they do not know, its unwise to post your info publicly. Note that some false teachers do not post their email address publicly but keep it internal.

Also as a pastor one should be a leader and be able to defend the faith. But... since the false teachers are what they are "false" the devils that surround them tell them it is better not to respond to me than to respond, because responding would give the Bible credit, and Satan does not want that. Satan is the master deceiver and he does not wish his servants argue with the legit gospel but rather to ignore it.

However some false teachers have responded and attempted to argue with me so everyone is different.

So Evan do you answer every email that is sent to you?

I can defend what I believe, but I don't have to get in involved in every argument I am invited to.

Someone wants a pat on the back for picking fights with false teachers and is going to be upset when he does not get said pat on the back?

I do have to say whatever happen to the idea of doing ones works before God and not before men?

By the way I like the hamster.

I strive to answer them all. But you know you make a good point. I think I will send a second round of emails to the false teachers that at least post their email publicly. Got another question to ask them.

How can I get saved and be assured of heaven?

Considering he does not even answer every post addressed to him in this forum I think its a safe bet to say no. I have 2 post in this Gospel According to Jesus thread that have been ignored so far. Of course that could be because I am on ignore but you never know ;)

I see Blessed Wife replied. The advantage of this site is the ignore list. BW has followed me around on at least 2 different web boards and there she could not be ignored.

Serious question. If churches that ignore your letters are arrogant, should we also consider you to be the same because you ignore those you disagree with?

Do you know the essential gospel message? Or do you care about it? A serious question for you.

Is Jesus the only way to salvation?

Those that I address deny this fact.
