Why don't you have an issue with John 1:1? John 1:1 states the same. In John 1:1, the word which is God is with God. In John 1:18 the only begotten is with God. The words "only begotten" tell you.
John 1:1 is not at issue.

No, the scriptures themselves declare that to us!Because you say so.
Have those various variants chosen for different translations cause any major doctrines to be altered/changed.compromised?That is not what I said.... I'm simply saying that just because there are variants, God's truth is not diminished. I still have yet to see you answer why you care about the variants today but not those of the Vulgate or Septuagint. Why do you make it a big deal about it now and not question why God allowed Bibles with tons more variants to be used for good.

The original New Testament was Godbreathed, not the man made Latin or Greek translations.I still have yet to see you answer why you care about the variants today but not those of the Vulgate or Septuagint.
Declare what? Cite it.No, the scriptures themselves declare that to us!
I have a fast red car.So, in other words, because such variants exist there can be no knowable inerrant word of God.
Ok, but that doesn't change the fact nobody has the originals, and what God chose to use for about 1000 years differed greatly from what we have today. The original New Testament was Godbreathed, not the man made Latin or Greek translations.
Inerrancy was for the Originals, and Infallibility for our translations! The issue is verbal plenary insperation and preservation of the original given inerrant word of God.

Did the Apostles record every single word spoken by Jesus all of the time, or did they give to us the Gist of what was spoken?
