To me, the lost are lost and my goal in witnessing is to communicate the gospel to them in a meaningful way.
Amen. Me too. I don't care where the are. The issue is where they are going. I preach the same gospel in the same way to every person. I let God work out the rest. He is much better at it than I am. :)

Faith regeneration?
or,
Baptismal regeneration?
or,
Spirit regeneration?

I'm believing the latter, John 6:63, but then again I only believe because of Him; Romans 12:3; Ephesians 1:19; Philippians 1:29. Praise God for that!

evangelist6589, don't allow anyone to dissuade you from using any portion of Scripture which includes the usage of the Law, 2 Timothy 3:16, as all Scripture is profitable.

Those who dismiss the usage of the Law have an opinion and that is all while Scripture testifies to itself that it is all profitable, as by the law comes the knowledge of sin; Romans 3:20. What was true then is true now.

Christ fulfilled the Law, and not just for the Jews, but for all of us. It is our schoolmaster, 'guardian' Galatians 3:24, and many many preachers have used this, and it does convict of our falling short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23. It is used to show how we, all of us, fall short. Keep in mind loving the Lord our God with all our heart, mind, and strength is quite convicting as well, even post salvation. It is when convicted by the Word, of falling short of the 10 that lead me to see my sinfulness to a greater degree and to seek Christ, which was really Him seeking me.

I heard a good message from Ray Comfort about all this the other day. Though some want to malign him, he is correct. :)

James even questioned my salvation or came close to it. So sad James is.
I didn't question your salvation at all. What I said is that ---> according to your own doctrine, if you were to fall away from the faith, you would prove that you were a false convert.

I'm telling you that you're playing with fire. You are 100% incapable of arguing with professors and others who have studied the scriptures.

Throwing around those tracts at people who know the scriptures? You might as well be throwing rocks at a tank

Just as you were once a "free willer" and some slick guy changed your mind, you will most assuredly be enticed away from the faith by somebody if you don't learn the scriptures for yourself

Excuse me????? Excuse me???? I know the scriptures! I think in your logic it works like this.

Everyone who agrees with James----> Knows the scriptures
Everyone who disagrees with James----> Does not know the scriptures.

That could be said of most of us on this board, if we're honest with ourselves.

Well, everybody who disagrees with you is a false convert, so....

But seriously, there are plenty here who know the scriptures, and *gasp* they disagree with me.

And I am willing to risk my paultry reputation on this - nobody here who knows the scriptures would dare send tracts to a bible professor.

I wonder, when James White debated Bart Ehrman, if Mr. White slipped a couple of tracts under Ehrman's hotel door?

That would have been revolutionary

Excuse me? Stop lying man. Not everyone who disagrees with me is a false convert.

Also you have such a negative and low view of tracts it's sickening me.

I think it is you who does not know the scriptures.

Good plan. Icon is a stronger Calvinist and may view all Arminian as lost. I do not agree with him here.
I view all persons as lost cal or Arminian until I have reason to believe otherwise....
Those systems do not save.....Jesus saves.
That being said I know many who proclaimed they were arminian,or non cal.....who now believe the doctrines of grace.
I do not see it happening the other way. There have been one or two on here who claim this, but it is clear they never really grasped the teaching.
Many on here do not understand the lawful use or place of the law in the life of a Christian. It is not as simple as it seems.
Many are hindered or crippled by dispensational error on the place of the law. It is a lot of work to get a handle on the law, and many lively debates are had even among those who agree on it's importance.

Jesus does save and plenty of non-Cal will be in heaven. Its really all about the essentials of the faith and the Cal vs. Armin debate is not on the list. I have met strong Cal on FB that view non-Cal as lost.

I believe the doctrines of grace are essentials of the faith....they are on the list. Many do not fully grasp the teaching as they should. We are all.still learning.
The bible indicates many will acknowledge things on your list and be as lost as the devil when they awake at the White Throne Judgement.

My list? My list? Wrong. Its the Bible's list. Yes there will be false converts who believe the facts, but do not have a relationship indeed.
