Good for Ed, Betty!

These things are hard to mow down too. I guess I will have to invest in some weed killer!

Love the story. Taylor is the same way around here. Kids always want to know how come she can, and they can't.

Because Taylor is 2, and is a perfect

) When trimming hedges, keep the electric cord behind you ...ACE--new cord--$10.00, electrical tape--$1.49.
Sue

Are you sure you are still with us?

You do seem somewhat angelic

Or are you just accident prone?

Take Blackbird's advice, please and be careful.

I can see you on that ladder, painting....Now get back to the kitchen and stay away from the knives.

Wish we were there to sample some of that food you are cooking.

Sherrie, I can't believe a mower could be that easy to start by changing the blade. Ed said it was like the old Model T or was it Model A never could keep those separate where one had to crank it.

I can't even start a mower the proper way. Actually, I have had someone else start it so I could mow, but now we have enough grandkids to mow for us.

Got to get busy doing other things. Talk to you all later.

I love dandelions!
Good for you. I also like clover and henbit and allow them free rein because I love wildflowers. Or maybe it's because I hate weeding ... Nah, that couldn't be it.

I recall one time admiring the wonderful yellow flowers at the bottom of someones garden. It was only later that I realised that they were dandylions!

Jim, Jim, Jim.

Teetotalers can have tea or "tonic" without resorting to the Demon Rum.

Would you believe about 10 years after the knife incident, I did the exact same thing, in the exact same spot! Yeppers. Another six stitches! My kids said they were gonna come and remove all sharp objects from my house.

The house we just bought needs scraped and painted on the outside this summer. Guess who gets to do all the trim? Part of the trim is beautiful scallops under a peaked roof (one reason I don't want siding). I am going to be very careful though!!! I was thinking of buying one of those rope thingies that mountain climbers use.

You can have the dandelions I dig up every year! Last year, one of my grandsons thought he was bringing me a 'beautiful white flower'. He got real close to me and said, "Look what I can do Grandma", and he blew that stuff right in my face. I was in ER 30 minutes later getting a breathing treatment for an allergic reaction. Aren't grandkids cute?!?

Hey, Sister Sixteen!

I use to paint for a livin--and those little "trim" pieces you mentioned are little "lulu's" to paint. First you gotta scrap um then prime um and then two coats of the finest Sherwin Williams has--semi-gloss! I'd rather build scaffold to climb up than to hang from a little "dilly" thing-a-ma-jig! You can rent that scaffold from rent places--I don't know--I'd rather have something solid under my feet than to hang in mid air--

Need some help on that paintin'--give Blackbird a call! I am the coffee shop's painter!

Have a Happy Easter!

Blackbird, we're both painters. When I was a teenager, it was my job to paint the hallways at school and I stained and varnished every door in the high school. Don't get too much paint on your brush, wipe it gently and go with the grain. Now, varnishing floors is another story ...

An Easter (or Resurrection Day or Sabbath Day) hymn just for the Coffee Shop:

Morning has broken
Like the first morning,
Blackbird has spoken
Like the first bird;
Praise for the singing,
Praise for the morning,
Praise for them springing
Fresh from the Word.
