Can we put flags back in when WW III starts? I am not sure that we should have flowers in church either because the florist will send a bill for them. I guess that you are saying no Christian flag either because that represents Heaven and leaves out the Lake of Fire? There are some Jews in New York who say that Israel is the cause of the violent attacks against Jews in New York City--it was reported by Canadian Rebel News. When I was a boy, churches did not have air conditioning and Pope Francis calls for the abolition of air conditioning outside of the Vatican itself. You are probably too young to remember when the local undertakers provided the cardboard fans for the sanctuary.

He sounds as if he is just in Lizton for the welfare check. If you visit the Islamic Society of North America in Plainfield, let me know what flag that Muslim Brotherhood US Headquarters is flying--I am guessing death and terror to all Americans is their flag.

my house is about 2 miles from NAIT in Plainfield. Irrelevant argument, it’s about Christian Worship not Islam.

I agree completely. I served and was proud to do so. I consider myself to be patriotic and love this nation. But as a Christian, I am a member of a higher kingdom, an eternal kingdom. When it comes to worship I believe all devotion and honor belong to God and God alone.

Correct. Very good post

So is this the way offerings are collected today by these dogmatic brethren?

Acts 4:35 "And laid it down at the Apostles' feet..."

To bring it down to today. Think baptism.

John MacArthur holds to the regulative principle. We must find it in scripture. Therefore since we find believers being baptized in scripture, we only baptize professing believers.

RC Sproul held to the normative principle. Since there is no regulation against infant baptism, therefore Christians are free to baptize infants into the covenant of the church. This is a norm established by the church from the early church leaders.

Identifying norm verses regulative worship would require a list. For example, the English Bible translation used in churches is normative. God has given us no regulation on which version to use. The type of bread and liquid used in communion is normative. However, marrying only one man to one woman is a regulative principle. We see God telling us that marriage is between one man and one woman. There is no other option.

David danced "out of his mind" when the Ark returned, and God seem to have accepted that as true worship!
Untrue!!!

The true worship of God brings clarity of the mind. Not some “out of his mind” physical exertion.

God is NOT the author of confusion nor the confused.

Do you really think God was impressed? There is no indication that I recall God demonstrated pleasure from the gyrations of a naked king any more then He enjoyed the naked undulating crowd around the sacred calf.

God wants our bodies to be devoted to service and serving at His pleasure. He gives mercy to the body, but not a single physical element including the human will is impressive to God. it is all to be used for His purpose and glory.

David drew attention to himself, and his wife was right to rebuke him.

If Christ is Lord of the Sabbath He is entitled to change the day.
That, the word of God does not teach. Exodus 31:12-13, "And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you."
