Yes, I do have a problem with some Federal government policy on these two issues. Marriage, gay or otherwise, is not mentioned in the Federal compact and therefore according to the 10th Amendment it is strictly a state issue.
The same goes for abortion as this also is not some unassailable right that is spelled out in the Constitution that should be binding on the whole nation, it is an issue for each individual sovereign state to decide.
